Touchin on My
3OH!3 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Girl, I gotta know how you dance like that
Dance like that, you dance like that
'Cause you're puttin' on a show
Can I take you back?
Take you back, take you back
I just gotta ask
You to show me yours
I'll show you mine
Don't you worry you're too fine
We got one thing on our minds
And we got plenty of time

Girl, I gotta go
I'm finished with the show
If you wanna, me, I won't say no
T-t-touchin' on my
While I'm touchin' on your
You know that we are gonna
'Cause I don't give a

Girl, I gotta go
I'm finished with the show
If you wanna, me, I won't say no
T-t-touchin' on my
While I'm touchin' on your
You know that we are gonna
'Cause I don't give a

I can't get you outta my mind
With the way you walk
The way you walk, the way you walk
Baby, you should be a sign
The way you make me stop
Make me stop, make me stop

'Cause some like fast and some like slow
Ladies come and ladies go
Skip the tell and let's just show
'Cause I want you to know

Girl, I gotta go
I'm finished with the show
If you wanna, me, I won't say no
T-t-touchin' on my
While I'm touchin' on your
You know that we are gonna
'Cause I don't give a

Girl, I gotta go
I'm finished with the show
If you wanna, me, I won't say no
T-t-touchin' on my
While I'm touchin' on your
You know that we are gonna
'Cause I don't give a

Girl, you know I want you, want you, want you now
You know you want me, want me, want me now
'Cause there's not that much to figure out
So, baby, let's get down

Girl, I gotta go
I'm finished with the show
If you wanna, me, I won't say no
T-t-touchin' on my
While I'm touchin' on your
You know that we are gonna
'Cause I don't give a

Overall Meaning

In "Touchin on My," 3OH!3 sings about a girl who catches their attention with her dancing. The singers are intrigued by her moves and want to take her home to see more. They assure her that they won't judge her body and that they have nothing but intimacy on their minds. The song seems to be about sexual desire and pure physical attraction. The singers' bluntness and lack of inhibitions about the desires they express can be seen as objectifying, but the girl in the song is also described as confident in her sexuality and not ashamed of her body, as evidenced by the way she dances. While the lyrics are crass, they also promote body positivity and an open-minded approach to sex.

The lyrics to "Touchin on My" are straightforward and lack any deep layers of meaning, as the song is mostly about physical attraction with little storytelling or character development. The chorus contains repetition and emphasizes the singers' desire to touch the person they're with. The beat is catchy, and the lyrics are sung in a carefree way, which adds to the song's overall vibe.

To all the haters; let me tell you people how 3oh!3 is genius.

They are obviously a parody group. There is an aura of irony and sarcasm in their songs, implying that they are almost making fun of the douchey music about just sex and drinking, while also making it catchy and their own. They have a unique sound of electro rap/pop, with killer synths and yelling vocals, which shallow people will think is utter crap. The thing is, 3oh!3 makes these seemingly cliche and "seen-it-before" sound completely theirs, with a perfectly unique style, sometimes throwing in sincere songs like Still Around and R.I.P, confusing everyone on their motive. The beats and synths are amazing and it is impossible to not dance to their songs. Why else would people be drawn to their music? It's different. The genius thing about 3oh!3 is that they are dumb yet smart, crappy yet good, and ironic yet real, baffling every critic who reviews them. Not many bands can do that. And I think that's amazing.

Okay rant over.

Agreed.. They are both intelligent, nice guys, I mean, Nate was going to become a physician before getting into music.

So they were basically the male Keshas......which is why they collaborated with Kesha twice.
