BIOGRAPHY
Forged in the hard rock proving grounds of Minneapolis, MN in 2004, 3 Pill Morning could be described as trial by fire. Simply put, music was never a question for lead vocalist Jeff Stebbins and failure was never an option. While other musicians were moving from project to project and band to band, Stebbins took a different path, consistently growing and evolving 3 Pill Morning into an anthemic rock band no one could deny.
It took the better part of 5 years, over 500 shows in basement bars and the constant ups and downs of any young unsigned band. But nothing would stop the evolution of 3 Pill Morning. The band forged on, hitting the road harder than ever before, solidifying their sound, and cementing their spot as a national touring act sharing the stage with the likes of Hollywood Undead, Sevendust, In This Moment and Theory of a Deadman. Through 3 Pill Morning’s consistent mile grinding and road warrior focus, the band has built an inspiring fan base with die hard supporters worldwide.
After a chance introduction in a city better known for honky-tonks and banjos than gut-wrenching riffs, the band found a creative match with Nashville based producer Jon King (Augustana, Throwing Gravity, Future Leaders of the World) . They quickly went to work writing, recording, and re-vamping songs and ideas to take that next sonic step. In 2012 the band signed a recording contract with King’s Page 2 Music and New York based A2Z Entertainment. “We were really intentional with everything this time around,” comments Stebbins, “as a band we had a specific vision for what we wanted to do and that really set the tone for everything from the writing process down to the artwork and suits we wear live."
Two months of all-night recording sessions later, the band emerged from the studio with a renewed vigor and a slick concoction of fist pumping riffs, infectious melodies and an energy that can only be described as relentless. 3 Pill Morning’s label debut 'Black Tie Love Affair' pegs all the dials and pulls no punches. The band’s lead single ‘Rain’ immediately raced into the top 100 Active Rock songs, the album hit #62 on the Billboard Heat Seekers chart and their sleek video capturing the underdog story ‘Skin’ has lit up YouTube. All signs are positive that this band’s determination and fan-centric demeanor will keep them on the radar for years to come.

Won't be the last time
You're out to kill
cnd you never let it go
You're on the inside
You walk a hard line
You get your fix
cnd your addiction's got you begging for more
I've been finding out
Everyone's talking
What you're all about
cnd girl your couldn't give it away
It's the same
With your drive by lies
But some things never change
You're still hanging on
Girl you couldn't give it away
It's the same
With your drive by lies
But some things never change
cnd you're still hanging on
Girl you couldn't give it away
You want a bad touch
Don't come around much
How does it feel
That you never let it go
You make a wrong move
You're like a costume
They make it fit
cnd then the critics
Leave you rotting alone
I've been finding out
Everyone's talking
What you're all about
cnd girl your couldn't give it away
It's the same
With your drive by lies
But some things never change
You're still hanging on
Girl you couldn't give it away
It's the same
With your drive by lies
But some things never change
cnd you're still hanging on
Girl you couldn't give it away
Go
Go
You never want to let it go
Hey
Hey
Hey
Your never going to find the way
It's the same
With your drive by lies
But some things never change
You're still hanging on
Girl you couldn't give it away
It's the same
With your drive by lies
But some things never change
cnd you're still hanging on
Girl you couldn't give it away, yeah
You couldn't give it away
The lyrics of "Drive By Lies" by 3 Pill Morning convey the theme of deception and the consequences of living a life filled with lies. The lines "It's not the first time, Won't be the last time, You're out to kill, and you never let it go" depict a character who continuously engages in deceitful behavior, with no remorse or desire to change. The lyrics suggest that this person is addicted to their manipulative behavior, constantly seeking validation and satisfaction from their lies.
The chorus, "It's the same with your drive by lies, But some things never change, And you're still hanging on, Girl, you couldn't give it away" highlights the notion that despite the repeated acts of deception, the person fails to realize that others are aware of their true nature. They are tied to their lies and unable to let go, leading to a sense of isolation and loss of genuine connection with others.
The lyrics also touch upon the consequences faced by the person perpetuating the lies. Lines like "They make it fit and then the critics leave you rotting alone" indicate that while the person may enjoy short-term satisfaction from their lies, they ultimately end up being judged and abandoned by those they manipulate. The repetition of the phrase "Some things never change" emphasizes the permanence of these consequences, highlighting the futility of maintaining a façade of deceit.
Overall, "Drive By Lies" serves as a critique of individuals who thrive on manipulating others through lies, highlighting the emptiness and isolation that accompany such behavior.
