professional debut in 2000, 3Suns, then known as Treason, was considered 'the new definition of soca'. Now, five years on, the trio, Ace, Menace and Crym, are that and much more. They are a combination of various music styles fused together, making a sound that is uniquely 3Suns.
Managed and produced by top producer Shoroc(Ken Holder)and his wife Rachel, the band splashed onto the scene with On de Promenade(Dah Ent Nuttin)in 2000.Then, in 2001,they proved that they were no ‘one hit wonder,’group with songs Kamasutra a Chutney-influenced song and War Amongst the Stars.
The year 2002 opened up 3Suns to a whole new world, with the release of their first album, Insanely Gifted. The album includes some of their previous hits, such as Wah Is Dah Won and Dah Is Nuttin. In 2003 their second album, Word on the Street, which contains hits like Carnival Darling, War Contract, By the Bar, Muddy Angels and Sincerely Boo, was chosen by the executives of VP Records for distribution. The success of We Eh Leaving, Living in the World, and Hot Girls, from their third album Definitely, cemented their place in the T&T music scene.
With their motto,'
'Keep it real', the group is currently working on their new album, as yet un-set to be released later in the year. It promises to showcase their maturity and to bring them across into the mainstream music industry. Collaborations can be expected with both Jamaican and American artists.
Producer Shoroc is quoted as saying that the upcoming album, "Takes all of 3Suns’ strengths from previous albums, and comments from their loyal fans, and places 3Suns on a level that is totally original and compatible with the universal expectations and standards."
Menace (Sherwin Jeremiah) is known for his aggressive and bold approach to his music, which creates a rough edge to a smooth package. He is the youngest member of this Sangre Grande band, and his signature call, "I'm a bad boy," says it all.
Crym - meaning crazy rhymer - (Olufemi Williams) adds a crazy vibe to the troublesome trio. He is the group's element of spontaneity, making it continuously wacky.
Ace (Damian Oliverie), the oldest band member, takes this business of group togetherness very seriously. He is known as the charmer: laid-back and and easy flowing; "Ace is always in place," they say.
Influences on the band include Machel Montano,Cro Cro, Bounty Killer and Busta Rhymes.
Today their ever popular songs for 2006 can be heard almost everywhere they are the slow loving song 'Do Wap' and the fast chick fighting song 'Run Dat'.

Why you so up in a rush
Girl just take your time
I know you stressing just relax
Is it ok if I'm not here
You told me that you wanna change
Ain't that's what I'm here for
Throw the fame up in the trash
(No more)
We're just teenagers
We don't know how to feel
Your love it worldwide
But it's something I can feel
Me and you watching the leaves go by
And I fallen through your love trap now
I took time to reach you
I know that you don't like drama
Why you so up in a rush
Girl just take your time
I know you stressing just relax
Is it ok if I'm not here
You told me that you wanna change
Ain't that's what I'm here for
Throw the fame up in the trash
Cause I don't care about it no more
(No more)
We're just teenagers
Me and you watching the leaves go by
And I fallen through your love trap now
I took time to reach you
I know that you don't like drama
In "Can't Rush Luv," 3suns delves into the complexities of young love and the often overwhelming emotions that accompany it. The opening lines convey a sense of patience and understanding. The singer reassures their partner that they will not miss the connection they share, suggesting an organic evolution of their relationship rather than a forced progression. The insistence that the girl should take her time emphasizes an awareness of the pressures that often accompany teenage relationships. Young love is often fraught with insecurities and a rush to define feelings, but the singer encourages a slower, more thoughtful approach, allowing for genuine feelings to develop at their own pace.
As the lyrics unfold, we learn that the girl is experiencing stress, perhaps from societal expectations or pressures related to their relationship. The singer’s request for her to relax reinforces the theme of emotional support and a deeper understanding of each other’s struggles. By questioning whether it's okay for him to be absent, the singer shows a willingness to give space if needed, highlighting the importance of individual growth within a relationship. The focus on change reveals a partnership that aspires to grow and evolve, hinting at personal struggles that the girl faces and the singer's commitment to being there for her as she navigates these challenges.
The chorus encapsulates the essence of teenage love by recognizing the innocence and confusion that often accompany it. The phrase "we're just teenagers" serves as a reminder of their age and relative inexperience in matters of the heart. Despite the complexities of their feelings, the singer paints the experience of love as something tangible and immersive, as demonstrated by the imagery of watching leaves go by together—an idyllic and peaceful moment that stands in stark contrast to the potential drama and chaos they might face. This juxtaposition highlights the beauty found in simple moments amidst the angst and uncertainty of youth.
Finally, the singer’s rejection of fame and external validation in favor of a genuine connection is a powerful declaration. By suggesting they should "throw the fame up in the trash," the song condemns superficial distractions and emphasizes the importance of authentic relationships. The termination of noise from external influences allows for a stronger focus on emotional intimacy. The acknowledgment of falling into a "love trap" suggests an irresistible pull towards one another—a realization of the power that love holds over them both. Overall, "Can't Rush Luv" is a reflection on the delicate balance between desire, patience, and the authenticity that young couples seek while navigating the tumultuous waters of adolescence.
