I live in my 3 storey terrace house in Sydney Australia & my adult daughters live in Brisbane, about 930kms north of Sydney.

I often drive to visit them, and one day I plan on selling my home, and living the van life, following nice weather all year round, so it's not too cold or hot.

I'll use the spare money to help my daughters buy a unit or an apartment.

I've often imagined how nice it would be to make friends like you, to travel with, each in our own van, like a convoy of retired roadies 😀

Well i know we live on opposite ends of the world, but it would be my pleasure to host you if you're ever in Australia

If I watched this pre-covid I would think you were crazy, but after moving from my office to my home full-time when the pandemic hit (while living alone with only my dog), I think you are an adventurer who found that sweet-spot that we should all desire to live by. Since I'll never have to go back to the office, I should be renting my house and living/working on the road.....especially in nice weather.

Your truly an inspiration being a mature woman doing van life. At 64 I’ve considered doing this as well. I’m experienced w RVng having operated a 32’ motor home. Best time I’ve ever had. Every night it was the folks going around to campsites having drinks and eating and laughing. Sometimes relationships would occur which was nice. Enjoy your time out there. I have a friend that’s in Quartzite AZ now in his 5th wheel w a cat. He loves it. Love much !!

If you follow van lifers you will find that age isn't a requirement for becoming a nomad. Being a strong intelligent, independent woman is.

Great admiration for you. You are not alone, I have noticed there are so many people living this way, either by choice or no choice. It would be great to start a private community online or if someone starts a special private website chat so that people living like this can get support and advice and even arrange for friend meetups. I think more should find the self-love you have so people could do the same. living with just what a person needs to get around and enjoy meeting others and spending time enjoying life as life comes. About to build a tiny house on blocks at 61, I'm a contractor.. will knock down my trailer when done and slide the frame under and move on! I watched the whole thing super impressed some great ideas. Definitely an inspiration to alot of people. Ball Park investment what would I spend to do a van similar on function without all the beautiful touches. If the van was free. Where do you shower while travelling other than friends places. Do people ever act judgemental?. Do have trouble finding places to boondock it? So many questions ill stop. About to go on my journey looking for more meaning to life. I'm a guy, and I certainly wouldn't decorate my van the same way you have, but your video shows the potential of such a van, and it is impressive. A beautiful van for a beautiful woman. Great job! That said, my being 6'2" tall, I wouldn't have the same options for how to design and place the bed as you would as a much shorter woman. For instance, not sure I could lay side to side in the van, so might have to figure something out lengthwise. But I suspect that could be figured out. Personally, I'd want to figure out how to customize it to be as much a mobile home office where I can easily use my laptop as a mobile sleeping and living space.

Audrey Price Your assumptions amaze me. When this vid was filmed I’d been in my van full time for almost 4 months. Because I use bleach, do laundry every week and keep my van clean doesn’t make me a liar or a fraud. I feel sorry for you if this is how you view people you don’t even know.

This lovely lady lives on her own, no partner, kids or animals that may drag in a little more dirt and muck than a single, neat and clean person. I can see her always keeping this neat and clean because that is who she is, the type of person she is ! Audrey Price It's always "Freedom of speech" screamers that get upset when others use that same right to disagree with what you said. That same right is for you to speak your mind as well as others who disagree. You made that comment on a video about her van so she had no other options but to assume you meant her. Just because yours would be filthy, doesn't mean others will be filthy. If you don't want folks using their freedom of speech, then you are in the wrong country as well my dear friend. What's good for you is also good for others, don't be a hypocrite. As I saw in some of her comment, she uses bleach and cleans. That is how she is able to keep things white, if things get dingy, that's for her to handle and her business. How does it concern you whether she has all white in her van? Why would it bother you enough to comment? Anything she does, does NOT effect your life or anything you do. You aren't having to wash or clean anything in her van. Whether she has been doing it for 4 months or 4 years...how she keeps her van is her business...Before you go on a freedom of speech rant with me, let me remind you, I am practicing my freedom of speech too. No hypocrisy my dear. It's mighty childish to think you can say whatever you want but others can't, especially those who disagree with you. If others had agreed and commented to you, you'd have no problem.
