Ain't That a Shame
4 Seasons Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Shame, ain't that a shame

You made me cry
When you said goodbye
Ain't that a shame?

My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame?
You're the one to blame
Yeah, yeah

Girl, you broke my heart
When you said we'll part
Ain't that a shame?

My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame?
You're the one to blame
Yeah, oh c'mon, c'mon

Oh well, goodbye
Although I'll cry
Ain't that a shame?

My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame?
You're the one to blame

Shame, shame
C'mon now

Oh well, goodbye
Although I'll cry
Ain't that a shame?

My tears fell like rain
Ain't that a shame?
You're the one to blame

Shame, ain't that a shame?
Shame, ain't that a shame?
Shame, ain't that a shame?

Shame [Incomprehensible]
Shame, ain't that a shame?

This is such a damn great sounding song!!!! Thanks for posting and talk about a group putting their own sound, style, and great vocals to a classic song. Man this is awesome.

@calleaestejunior4593

Got to # 22 on Billboard but was rarely played on oldie stations after it fell off the charts. I heard it once around 1990 and it was a local station that had a "Forgotten 45s" type show.

@KingRiverVlogs

I had never even heard this in my whole life until just now. Nobody ever remembers it.

@MikeIdy6000

Brilliant arrangement of the timeless classic.

Fats goes falsetto!

@voodoo49

Fats Domino co-wrote this? Didn't he record a big hit song with that name and it was completely different??

@ynpguy

He sure did. Words are the same, but the music is quite different. See Fats' recording here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pszWSJa7o0k

@dennisgallagher

@ynpguy This is the same song, they just ruined it.
