Overall Meaning

The song Penelope by 4 Wings begins with an intro by Missy Elliot where she wakes up Aaliyah who has entered into the next level of funk, the new world of music. The chorus of the song starts by repeating "Creeping through the fog, who dat y'all" multiple times where Aaliyah's name is mentioned in the form of its initials "A-A-L-I-Y-A-H" in between. In the first verse, Aaliyah claims that she has got the beats for the streets and everything she produces is unique. She invites her listeners to show their support by saying "Hey if you down with me" and warns them that if anyone steps to her, it is not necessary.

The chorus is then repeated, this time with Missy Elliot joining in and calling Aaliyah the bomb. The song ends with an outro where Missy Elliot once again wakes up Aaliyah and bids goodnight.

My roommate and I call it the 'into wrongdoing' song and we have incorporated this phrase into our daly vernacular, with the rule being that you have to say it twice like they do in the song.
