At some unknown moment, I will need to confront the true version of myself, flaws and all.

Somehow I’ll have to learn to bend
In order to adapt and survive, I must gain the ability to be flexible and bend with the changes in life.

And now I see clearly
After experiencing a transformative realization or event, I have gained a newfound clarity of vision and understanding.

All these times I simply stepped aside
Throughout my life, I have actively avoided taking action or making decisions where I could have.

I watched but never really listened
I observed events, people, and the world around me, but I did not truly absorb or understand what was going on.

As the whole world passed me by
Life and opportunities passed me by while I was inattentive and passive.

Never understood what was wrong or what was right
I was unable to differentiate between what was morally just and unjust, or recognize when I was making harmful choices.

I apologize, whoah
I am genuinely and remorsefully sorry for my past inaction and lack of recognition.

One day I’ll face the Hell inside me
At some point, I will have to confront the inner demons and negative emotions within myself.

Someday I’ll accept what I have done
Eventually, I will come to terms with the mistakes I have made and the consequences they bring.

Sometime I’ll leave the past behind me
At some point, I will be able to let go of the baggage of my past and move forward with my life.

For now I accept who I’ve become
