I
6CycleMind Lyrics

Nag-iisang panaginip na ika'y magbabalik
Nagsasamang masaya at walang pagkukulang
At ngayong wala ka na
Hindi alam kung saan magsisimula
Ang ngayon bukas kailanman nag-iba
Wala bang bukas
Ay bahala na ang tanging narinig
Wala ka bang ibang masabi
Huwag kanang mag-alala
Iniintindi ko ang lungkot na ginawa mo
At ngayong wala ka na
Hindi alam kung saan magsisimula
Ang ngayon bukas kailanman nag-iba
Wala bang bukas
At ngayong wala ka na
Hindi alam kung saan magsisimula
Ang ngayon bukas kailanman nag-iba
At ngayong wala ka na
Hindi alam kung saan magsisimula
Ang ngayon bukas kailanman nag-iba
Wala bang bukas
Paulit-ulit mananatili (wala bang bukas)
Pag-gising ko'y wala pa rin (wala bang bukas)
Hindi maamin
Ilang dalanging (wala bang bukas)
Wala na
Wala ka
Wala na
At ngayong wala ka na
Hindi alam kung saan magsisimula
Ang ngayon bukas kailanman nag-iba
Wala nang bukas
The song "I" by 6CycleMind speaks about the pain of losing someone and the feeling of uncertainty that comes with moving on. The lyrics express a longing for a return to a happy time when both parties were together, but also acknowledge that the reality of the situation is that the person is gone, leaving the singer feeling lost and unsure of how to proceed. The repeated phrase "Wala bang bukas" (Is there no tomorrow?) serves as a reminder of the finality of the situation and the feeling of hopelessness that it brings.
The song makes use of simple yet poignant language to convey the complex emotions involved in grieving and moving on. The phrase "Nagsasamang masaya at walang pagkukulang" (Together happily and without lack) paints a picture of a perfect relationship that is now lost, while "Iniintindi ko ang lungkot na ginawa mo" (I understand the sadness you caused) shows compassion for the person who left. The repetition of certain phrases throughout the song serves as a metaphor for the cyclical nature of grief, where even as time passes, the pain remains.

Sounds like my entire childhood, with a cool and sunny weather, I'm lying in a hammock, the radio blasting this song in the background, along with Callalily's, Parokya ni Edgar and many more, my older female cousins singing along while I watch passersby while melting Nips in my mouth until my tongue hurts. My mom would shout at me from inside the house and my frenemy cousin glaring at me as I enter his room on the way to my mother. Then I'll throw something to him, run towards mom and hide there until my Aunt (his mom) tell him to stop 'annoying' ME.

I dreamt about this song, there were two people singing it in karaoke. In my dream, I knew the title but can't remember the artist. As soon as I woke up, I searched it on YouTube to check and I listened to it. Please know that the lyrics in my dream weren't accurate. The song goes "Ay, wag naman alisin ang nag iisang panaginip." the one that comes to my mind is my brother. Aug 16, will be his 9th year in heaven. To kuya, always remember that I love you so much, I miss you so much. I regret doing all the things I could've done to make you happier while we are together. I resent myself for doing things that made you sad. See you on Tuesday.

I doubt that was the first time you heard that song. This song is well known even today and still receives airplay from radio and the people. You have heard it somewhere.
But yes, good to hear that this song is used to cope with grief from losing a loved one rather than petty heartbreak that most people do.
