The group was composed of Luther "Squeaky" Jackson, Glynis "Lil' G" Martin, Seantezz "Tezz" Robinson and Deion "D" Lucas. They got their name from a street in their hometown of Detroit.

In 1998, the quartet released their first and only album, the self-titled 7 Mile. The album had two singles, "Just A Memory" and "Do Your Thing." "Do Your Thing" was the group's most successful track, reaching #12 on the R&B charts.
