They receive great support from school girls, ranging from primary school to high school. They are a cluster of colourful personality, who are already actively participating in the media scene as magazine models, actresses and variety regulars.

In January 2007, Matsuzawa Azusa (松沢梓) and Wagatsuma Miwako (我妻三輪子) withdrew from 9nine. Shimogaki Madoka (下垣真香) and Kawashima Umika joined in as new members.

In December 2007, Kato Rubi (加藤瑠美) was removed from 9nine reportedly after pictures surfaced of her in a relationship with Hey! Say! JUMP member, Takaki Yuya (高木雄也).

In March 2009, Ashida Marie (芦田万莉恵), Yoshida Mai (吉田麻衣), and Yamaoka Midori (山岡みどり) graduated from 9nine.

In August 2010, Shimogaki Madoka (下垣真香) and Miura Moe (三浦萌) graduated from the group. In September, after opening a new fan club site, were announced two new members for the group: Yoshii Kanae and Murata Hirona.
