Dark Is The Night For All
A-Ha - Greatest Hits Lyrics

Time now to decide
O' don't you feel so small
Dark is the night for all
It's time we moved out West
This time will be the best
And when the evenings fall Dark is the night for all
It's time, yeah, to break free
It's time to pull away
For you and for me
It's time, yeah, to break free
We need to celebrate the mystery
It's time we said goodbye
Time for you and I
O' don't you feel so small
Dark is the night for all
The lyrics of A-Ha's song "Dark Is The Night For All" seem to be about the need to move on from something in our lives. The song suggests that it's time to say goodbye, decide to move, and break free from whatever is holding us back. The lyrics, "o' don't you feel so small, dark is the night for all," imply that it's a confusing and challenging time for everyone, and we might feel afraid or overwhelmed by the changes we're facing. However, the lyrics also suggest that moving on will bring something positive, "time for you and I," and "this time will be the best."
The song's lyrics discuss the idea of celebrating the unknown and mysterious aspects of life, suggesting that stepping into the unknown can be a cause for celebration. It speaks to the idea of choosing to embrace our fears and uncertainties as opportunities for growth and discovery. The ultimate message is that by breaking free from our current situation and saying goodbye, we set ourselves up for new opportunities and a better future.

Yes better than "the Beatles", the problem with A-ha is that they're not from UK so they don't have the marketing.

@@sergiocaruso1331 can someone explain to me why many as you say that they are underrated and underappreciated? Do you mean by the media? Record in Rio, grammy awards, other prizes, 30 years career, tickets for next year sold out....what can' I see? thank you
@BritainsBestGuitar
I live in the US and no one here knows about this song! A ha is a one hit wonder here in the states with “Take on me” being their only hit record. The only reason I know about this awesome song is that my wife and I are always in Britain in May & June every year and in 1993 this song was a huge hit going up to number 12 on the UK charts. It should’ve been a much bigger hit than that. This song is so great that it should’ve gone number one in most countries.
@cridiego
Yes, I never understood why Americans didn't appreciate this band as it deserved it. Here, in Argentina, and in the rest of Latin America, a-ha is and was very succesful with a lot of known songs...
