Early Morning
A-Ha - Greatest Hits Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Eight o'clock precise
I see the lonely August sun arise
Say you know
You will
Move me like you do
Out on the fields
I'm waiting the whole night through
Early morning, early morning, yeah
Ran the whole way
Down to the tracks
Through the doorway, then a last look back
Say you know
You will
Save me like you do
Out on the fields
I've waited the whole night through
Early morning, early morning, yeah
I climbed all the stairways
To find the rooftop clear
Got the shotgun lying with me here
Say you knowYou will
Move me like you do
Out on the fields
You know how it feels, yeah
Early morning, early morning, yeah
Early morning
Eight o'clock precise
In A-Ha's song "Early Morning," the lyrics evoke a strong sense of longing and nostalgia as they paint a picture of the early hours of dawn. The mention of "eight o'clock precise" and the "lonely August sun" rising suggests a very specific and poignant moment in time where the stillness of the morning contrasts with the emotional turbulence of the singer. This setting is steeped in the solitude of early morning, a time that feels both expansive yet intimately personal, providing an atmosphere for reflection and the anticipation of something transformative. The "lonely" sun indicates a sense of isolation, hinting at a longing for connection amidst the beauty of the moment.
The repeated plea of "Say you know, you will / Move me like you do" highlights the singer's emotional dependence on another person, creating a passionate desire for their presence. The acts of waiting "the whole night through" and being "out on the fields" symbolize both physical and emotional journeys, indicating that the singer has been prepared and patient for this interaction or event. This suggests that the bond between the singer and the person they address is significant and possibly transformative—creating tension between eagerness and uncertainty. The fields here serve as a metaphor for openness and possibility, further emphasizing the anticipation of a pivotal moment.
As the lyrics progress, the imagery shifts to depict a more rugged journey, illustrated by references to running "the whole way down to the tracks" and taking "a last look back." This element of looking back signifies a connection to the past and the experiences that have shaped the current moment. It also illustrates the singer's eagerness to confront whatever lies ahead, highlighting the idea of moving forward despite uncertainty. The mention of tracking and referencing the idea of a clear rooftop with a shotgun adds layers of intensity to the narrative, suggesting themes of vulnerability, protection, and perhaps the inner turmoil that accompanies such pivotal emotional moments.
The line "I climbed all the stairways / To find the rooftop clear" speaks to both the struggle and the journey towards clarity or revelation. It signifies the effort required to find peace or understanding after a night of waiting and yearning. This struggle can be interpreted as an inner quest for answers or a deeper understanding of one's emotions, hinting that the resolve or fulfillment lies in the connection with the other person. Ultimately, this collection of images and emotional pleas encapsulates the experience of waiting for a significant and possibly life-altering moment, which, when it arrives at the dawn of a new day, holds the potential to redefine the singer's existence and emotional landscape.

You Are The One",Hunting High And Low".....
Muito bom poder relembrar como tudo se totnava mágico .
E assim eram os anos 80..90..
A palavra é:
Saudade
A frase e:
"Que bom que vivi" e hj estou aqui podendo compartilhar com vocês e assistir ao show dessa banda norueguesa que encanta tantas gerações.
