0:00 - 1:21
Reconnisance and intelligence forces send preliminary reports on Estovakian positions. Commando units link up with civilian resistance and begin establishing communications links between the main army and the civilian resistance.
1:21 - 1:53
Advance forces take up positions as the bulk of Emmerian forces begin transit towards Gracemeria.
1:53 - 2:41
Fighters are ten minutes out. The main bulk of the Emmerian Army takes pre-attack positions. ISR links report target coordinates for artillery fire. Infantry and armor regiments make their final preparations.
2:42
The go-order is given when the code word "IGNITE" is broadcast to all stations.
2:44
Artillery attached to the 1st Infantry Division "Indefatigable" fires the first shot of Operation Free Gracemeria. The spark of liberation is struck.
2:46
Civilian resistance fighters firebomb Estovakian barracks near the Red Light District. The fires of liberation begin to catch.
2:48
Emmerian fighter cover engages Estovakian air superiority and Close Air Support squadrons. The first six kills of the air battle are scored by a top Emmerian ace, granting them yet another "Ace In A Day" status. Garuda Team penetrates the Estovakian CAP Line. Over the next six hours, the planes of Garuda Team will notch over one hundred air-to-air kills.
2:50
The crew of "Stormbringer", an Emmerian Main Battle Tank operating under the callsign Avenger 3-5, notch the first confirmed kill of the Emmerian Armored Corps as they put an APFSDS round through an Estovakian APC.
2:52
An Estovakian helicopter is shot down by Commando-trained partisans. The crash destroys an Estovakian Surface-to-Air Missile launcher.
2:54
The Estovakian military loses communications with the general in charge of Gracemeria's armored forces. Unbeknownst to them, Emmerian special forces have killed him and his command staff during an extremely successful raid on his bunker.
2:57
Emmerian ace pilot Talisman earns their fortieth "ace in a day" as Garuda Team destroys a squadron of Estovakian F-22As and an electronic warfare craft.
2:58
The Emmerian warship Marigold engages with numerous ships in King's Bay with support from Garuda Team. Talisman is credited with kills on numerous enemy warships, including the Estovakian heavy cruiser Castigator and an aircraft carrier.
3:00
Emmerian helicopters are engaged by Estovakian fighters. During the engagement, Wasp 3-2, an attack helicopter piloted by Senior Airman Kanne Vocht, is credited with a maneuvering kill after her aggressive flying causes an Estovakian Rafaele to crash into the street trying to avoid her.
3:02
Estovakian forces begin to pull back from their second line of defense.
3:04
Emmerian forces secure Hills 459 and 460, depriving Estovakian forces of a crucial vantage point just outside the city.
3:05
Civilian forces, unprompted, ambush and capture an Estovakian infantry squad.
3:06
Emmerian infantry squads push up to the city limits, but fail to enter. Sergeant Carl Yorkson remarks, "I'll bloody die if I have to, but I'm setting foot in a free Gracemeria before the day is out!"
3:08
Estovakian sniper Alf Panjon is killed by artillery from the Emmerian 62nd "Earthshaker" Artillery Regiment.
3:10
The Marigold sinks the battlecruiser Prideful.
3:13
A total air supremacy coup happens in the skies as Talisman shoots down Ilya Pasternak.
3:16
Emmerian soldier David Price is the first non-special forces Emmerian soldier to enter Gracemeria since the occupation. Over the next seven minutes, an estimated 7,500 Emmerian infantry, 200 tanks, and 600 armored vehicles will enter the city of Gracemeria. The fires of liberation burn brighter than ever before. The Dragon Busters begin a thunder run for Emmeria's capitol building, with support from multiple aircraft.

Since I've listened to this music as long as I can remember, and the comments have been rising, I suppose I should write my own thoughts on this music.
I never played the game. I do know obviously it's an airforce pilot but that's about it. I do not own consoles and I'm not into military games so there was no chance I would be able to play this in the near future.
But the Aces music has always drawn me. This one contains a sense of power and energy in it, but much more than that. There's a sense of loftiness. I would not have guessed by music alone that it was a flying game. But the entire air is uplifting, elevated, but also paced, solemn, and dignified.
I must be honest, it's almost too good to be war music. Reality does not come with background music, you see, especially when it comes to war. But I also don't know where else it can fit. Except one other place I suppose.
I just treat it as a rather spiritual experience. That's all.

From a Belkan War veteran, to the nuggets playing Unkown Skies for the first time:
We veterans lost our wings long ago, age comes to check on ya, you know? But you, who has never played an Ace Combat game in your life, you have the chance to soar through those clean blue skies and be the ACE you are meant to be. There was a time where we held the skies, I defended Valais Air Base, I fought in B7R, I witnessed the liberation of Ustio's capital and I saw Belka Fall, but that time is now long gone. The sky belongs to you now, a new generation of aces. This is my message to you, first time Ace Combat pilot. Now it's time for you to spread those wings and fly.
Fly high and fast nugget.
Us old timers? We'll just look on from here.
