Just The Two Of Us
A.I.P Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

All I need is the two of us
Brick of ice in a newer truck
Pullin' up let them see us stunt
If a nigga hate let them see my gun
Dinner dates them shits cool with me
But I be popping beans at least two or three
So I'm probably geeked
I keep a tool on me
It's like fuck the world if it's you and me
I got make it I been stressing 'bout it
Where you been I'm only pressed about it
You my only friend I feel less without ya
Know I'm reckless 'bout ya
Get to stepping' bout it
See I got options
But that pussy toxic and that head sloppy and that ass phat
I think about it
Having flashbacks
So when we kicking back I still can't relax
Heart broke I'm getting feelings back
I'm in these streets and I be in the trap
Tryna get away so I don't get attached
My brother gone I can't get him back
My mind gone and my soul trapped
And I be eating ass I hope you in to that
I'm on go, I can't move slow
I be living fast like I'm in a Scat
Me and you
If I hit some licks, can you stash a brick?
Can you make a move?
Swear the two of us
We can fuck them up
And we don't need a crew
We can rob the plug
You can set them up and I'll sell his food
We can fight or fuck
Just don't fuck me up
See I been hurt enough
And I don't play with feeling
If you play with mines imma fuck you up
See I play with pistols
Niggas really dying where I'm coming from
We can run it up and then really slide
Is we gone be together?
Sunshine or the coldest weather
We go back like Coogi sweaters
Girl I'll buy you diamonds cuz that pussy pressure
Pick you up in that newer truck
It's a Dolo vibe just the two of us
Buckle up but keep a pistol tucked
I'm a hood nigga so I hang with thugs
Pack slow been stressing bout it
we got ends you ain't pressed about it
Call your friends and you text about it
'Cuz my attention you want undivided
That lil dress I'm take you out it
You don't fake about it
You gone take dick
You gone ride it like a space ship
So a day trip girl it ain't shit
Brown liquor you gone pour it back
Ass fat you gone throw it back
Imma keep a gun like that shit attached
We was under homes just to get it back
Ya mind gone and your soul snatched
It's mine forever can't get it back
I'm on go, I can't move slow
I be living fast like I'm running track
Me and you
If I hit some licks, can you stash a brick?
Can you make a move?
Swear the two of us
We can fuck them up
And we don't need a crew
We can rob the plug
You can set them up and I'll sell his food
We can fight or fuck
Just don't fuck me up
See I been hurt enough
And I don't play with feeling
If you play with mines imma fuck you up
See I play with pistols

Niggas really dying where I'm coming from
We can run it up and then really slide

Overall Meaning

The song Just The Two Of Us by A.I.P with the features of Geneveese and X-1 revolves around the theme of the street life. It explains the reality of street life where guns are cocked, and people need to protect themselves by busting their heat. They live in a world where they die for beef, and people are set up by their hos. The streets are corrupt, and even the police get involved in it. There are a million people like them in the streets who are living, surviving, and thriving in their own way. The song portrays the dark and ominous side of street life.

Sticky Fingaz delivers his verse with explicit anger, and it seems like the song is personal. He mentions his father's untimely death and how it changed him forever. His rough background and living in the box have made him uncivilized, and he is willing to do anything to make the ends meet. He has little respect for the police or authority and feels like he is above the law. X-1 tells the audience about his experience in jail, and how he doesn't respect the lames who run to the cops. He feels the pain of his fellow friends from north and lets them know that he doesn't regret his decision to live the street life. Geneveese paints a vibrant picture of the street life, where people move triggers and set firearms off. The consequences of crossing the codes of the street are brutal, and there is no room for negotiation.

The song is intense and aggressive, and it reflects the harsh realities of street life. It shows how people have to be tough and take extreme measures to survive. The song's lyrics are powerful and precise, and the three artists deliver their verses with authenticity.

@RealWorldAIP Thanks for the response!πŸ‘ I read the article, it was pretty good and unbiased too.
I would like to say, I'm very grateful and appreciative of the work you do here. So many people(including myself) have and will continue to benefit from the work you and others in this sphere are doing.

This is a bit long, my apologies, however I feel compelled to share my experience with you and others, as it might help.
I've struggled (just as you and so many others in this milieu have) with autoimmune issues for years. Some of my issues were severe rashes, joint problems, poor sleep, the list goes on. Long story short I became very allergic to almost all of the food I was eating(eggs, cane sugar, yeast, milk, cheese, carrots, coconuts et cetera et cetera), animals and chemicals I was around.
About 3 years ago when I discovered AIP, keto and other similar diets(and stuck to them) my health(both physical and mental) started to gradually improve .
AND THEN I did the carnivore diet for a little over a month. January-February of this year and had absolutely life changing results. ALL of my rashes cleared up, little to no joint issues, improvment across the board. I've been able to reintroduce all of the food I had become allergic to, and I'm not sensitive to animals like cats and dogs anymore!:)
Now I eat mostly animals (because I just feel so much better compared to when I eat both plants and animals), a sort of nose to tail type of eating as best I can, and I feel more healthy than I have in 15 years.
I must recommend to you or whom ever reads this, do the Carnivore diet for a month or two and see what happens.
Some of my favorite people to gain knowledge from on this topic on YouTube have been Tristan Haggard with Primal Edge Health, and Dr. Paul Saladino.
-God bless

Peace Out

I have Hashimoto's and have had symptoms of CFS for decades. I follow an autoimmune diet. But I do have to say, I truly believe the roots are in orthorexia. For as long as I remember, my parents gave mixed messages - eat everything on your plate, if I bothered to take time to make it, you WILL eat it, and on the other hand, were hugely critical of eating the "wrong" things, or being overweight. My mom has been on some kind of diet continuously since I remember, and it's always the "latest and greatest" thing that, this time is going to "work." Women are obsessed with their food. Yes, men get very sick too, but man, I gotta tell you, they just don't make a deal about food like women do. I do believe an awful lot is psychological. Like you tell me you can't have gelatin because you react, yet eat shellfish that are huge reactive foods, especially with our terribly toxic oceans and shellfish are bottom feeders (always). I don't care how "organic" shellfish is, you can't keep them from eating the tons of garbage we dump in oceans. It's all debatable really. Some days I can eat something and not react, and the same exact food another time makes me react. I don't have a rhyme or reason for any of it. I also know I grew up in very toxic environments, was exposed to toxins that were legal when I was a kid and illegal now. There was physical abuse in our home. I married an abusive man. In fact, it's said that homes where there was physical and/or sexual abuse, you can pretty much count on the fact women will develop some sort of autoimmune disease. We can't control the behavior of others who abuse us - look at the Me Too movement. It's so pervasive, it's sick. About the only thing we have control over, with our own bodies, is what we eat. Men are constantly telling us how to look, what to wear, how to behave, who to associate with, when to have sex, how to treat them while they treat us like shit, food is the one area we are in control. I don't know....I do see women eat everything & anything, are skinny as rails and seem to be disease and symptom free. I also know virtually everything at restaurants is loaded with something we can't have. It's as if society is geared to pollute our bodies. I'm sure I could go on about it. Even AIP diets vary, and opinions vary, and everyone has this exception or that. It's annoying as hell. That's all I can say. Like, I've been to 3 different doctors for my hashimotos, every one of them has a completely different approach to treating it. Who is right? Who do I follow? In the end, I have to say, if I suffer, then I suffer. And that's about it.

I was short on time yesterday when I read your post but I just want to say yes, psychological trauma is such a huge stressor and could definitely trigger autoimmunity and flares! I have been in unhealthy relationships and I got out for my health! It's so hard, but it's even harder to stay stuck in a bad situation. We don't have a choice as to how men act but we DO (always!) have a choice as to whether we will stick around and accept that behavior or move on...We always have a choice there.
I used to have similar reactions to foods sometimes and other times not at all. Like with salmon... It was histamine intolerance. If the salmon sat at the fish counter for 3 days I would react. If it was fresh I was fine. Sometimes spinach was fine, sometimes no- depending on how full my histamine bucket was...
Anyway...HUGS to you and I hope you find health and peace in your personal relationships❀

You did a really outstanding job of explaining this "condition" (that's not even a real condition). I personally think the addendum in No. 5 should apply to all of the questions. If any group qualifies for this "condition" it's militant vegans. Thanks for a great video, as always, Stacey. Have a great weekend.

Thank you so much Jill! I think you make two excellent points, I totally agree!

I might have been struggling with it, or another eating disorder (probably a different one honestly) about a month ago, because I had slowly started eating less and less over the last month and a half of my AIP journey and got to the point where I was literally eating like 1 snack a day and 5 meals a WEEK. It was partly because I was lazy/my kitchen was dirty and I couldn't really get in there to cook, partially because I was so frustrated with craving things that weren't AIP but not allowing myself to have them and being overwhelmed by the complicated recipes I found online for substitutes, and probably a lot of other things too. I got to the point where I had lost 60 lbs in less than 4 months and I was barely eating anything and started having low blood sugar issues. I went to my medical doctor and she just congratulated me on my weight loss (I am over 300 lbs). I was shocked and appalled! I literally told her I wasn't eating and she seemed to think there was nothing wrong with that. I reached out to my AIP support group on Facebook and someone said 'I don't care if it's compliant or not, just eat SOMETHING!' because at that point, even pictures of food made me want to vomit. Well, I got take out of the only food that I could even consider trying to eat and was able to successfully eat a whole meal and not get sick afterwards!
I have been off protocol for about 2.5 weeks now due to quarantine and getting back into old bad habits and I have had some issues return but it is nowhere near as bad as I was before going AIP. I talked to my naturopathic doctor though, who is the one who is treating my autoimmune stuff, and she encouraged me to go back to AIP, which I planned to do, but to add in some non-glutanized grains, to help with my digestion which seemed to be an issue leading up to my stopping eating (everything I ate went right through me and made me have tummy troubles). I am excited to get back to protocol, clear my body of the inflammation of the past few weeks, and move forward with a little bit more freedom and hopefully a much better mindset!
