She say that she'll never let me go
Fuck me
She fucked me and then she let me go
Yea
She let me go
Aha
Yea
I should just do the same
'Cause girl I'm in so much pain
Bitch my heart ain't a game
Can't believe that you were just playing
Yea
She let me go
Yea
She let me go
Thought what we had was real
I didn't know that I knew how to feel
What the fuck is your deal
I'm nine millimeters from writing my will
Yea
She let me go
Yea
She let me go
Uh huh
She let me go
Whoa oh oh oh oh
The lyrics of A.L. Lloyd's song "Doodle Let Me Go" depict the emotional turmoil of a man who has been betrayed by the woman he loved. The first stanza sets the tone for the song, where the singer talks about how he thought his relationship with the woman was strong and how she promised to never let him go. However, she betrays him by sleeping with him and then leaving him.
The following stanzas talk about the singer's pain and disbelief at how the woman he loved could play with his emotions. He is so hurt that he contemplates ending his own life. He is frustrated with the situation and decides that he should do the same to the woman.
The song's chorus repeats the phrase "She let me go," which emphasizes the pain and confusion that the singer experiences throughout the song, leaving him to question the authenticity of the love he once believed they had.
The song lyrically captures the feeling of betrayal and heartbreak. It is a poignant reminder of how love can be fickle, and how easily a relationship can crumble when trust is lost.
