Waves
A.R.K. Noah Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

How 'bout maybe you come over, spend the night
Stars aligned we just gotta get closer, to the light
Maybe we can chill the whole summer, baby, we might
Feel the wave come catch it, feel the wave come catch it
I just wanna get to know you better, tonight
Love letters don't come from whoever, prototype
Let's talk conversation till forever, baby, that's my type
Feel the wave come catch it, feel the wave come catch it
On the lookout for the real love
So come here, take this rocket
Round here I'm a martian
I come in peace in your garden
Beg your pardon, no intruders
I just wanna fuck with you girl
They just tryna fuck you over
So how about we get to my world
My world, my world
I made my way through the stars and the ocean
I found my faith, in your thighs and your moaning
I found solace waking up in the morning
By you side, smoking the lala
Oh na na, cosmic kamasutra
So don't be shy ma, no tiptoeing
How 'bout maybe you come over, spend the night
Stars aligned we just gotta get closer, to the light
Maybe we can chill the whole summer, baby, we might
Feel the wave come catch it, feel the wave come catch it
Press play we bout to push some passion
I been around, you been around, but no one really asking
Your lips told me all your secrets on a full moon
Your room all filled with flowers all in full bloom
You might have to put a couple on my tomb tomorrow
So come through
So come through
Hey it's me, I know you're busy, please call me back
I made my way through the stars and the oceans
I found my faith, in your thighs and your moaning
I found solace waking up in the morning
By you side, smoking the lala

Oh na na, cosmic kamasutra
So don't be shy ma, no tiptoeing

Overall Meaning

A.R.K. Noah's song "Waves" is a romantic, yet rhythmic ballad about the longing for love and intimacy. The opening lines of “How ‘bout maybe you come over, spend the night/Stars aligned we just gotta get closer, to the light/Maybe we can chill the whole summer, baby, we might/Feel the wave come catch it, feel the wave come catch it” hint at the desire to be with someone special and share an intimate moment with them. The chorus emphasizes this longing when he sings “I just wanna get to know you better, tonight/Love letters don't come from whoever, prototype/Let's talk conversation till forever, baby, that's my type/Feel the wave come catch it, feel the wave come catch it.”

The verses talk about finding real love and trying to connect with someone on a deeper level. The lines “On the lookout for the real love/So come here, take this rocket/Round here I'm a martian/I come in peace in your garden” suggests that he has been searching for genuine love and thinks he has finally found it in the person he's addressing. The chorus repeats, and he adds more lines: “Press play we bout to push some passion/I been around, you been around, but no one really asking/Your lips told me all your secrets on a full moon/Your room all filled with flowers all in full bloom/You might have to put a couple on my tomb tomorrow/So come through/So come through” These lines indicate that he has found a deep level of comfort with the person he's addressing, and he just wants to be with them and spend some time together.

Overall, “Waves” is a song about the desire for closeness, passion, and real love.

@@TickedOffPriest Ok sir let me explain why I still have doubts...

• Noah may have experience building boats to catch fish. But no one could have had experience for the kind of world destroying Tsunami God supposedly sent . It was meant to be world destroying. What possible engineering mastery could a man have against waters "created to destroy worlds" it wasn't a superhero submarine he built. It was something less than whay we have now. And besides submarines get destroyed by waters too. So talkless of a big boat? Made of wood? So I am not sure his experience in building boats could match Gods rains.

• The Pesse canoe is the world's oldest known ship, dating between 8040 and 7510 BC. It was only 300 centimeters long, and 41centimeters wide. It was just a fishing canoe.....The first evidence of ships being used for warfare was in Ancient Egypt....centuries after Noahs time

• If Noah had 75 years to a century to build that wooden boat, then that may be worse 🤦‍♂️ decay, termite investion, rain damage on the untreated wood, sun and element damage, hollow wood deterioration rates, thieves and bandits raiding the wood, reruns and do overs, and overall trauma that the forests, weather, animals, insects, and above all time, would impact on that structure would be for 75 long years. Once violent waters hit it? It wouldn't survive brother

Hence my reservations.

Maybe the flood happened. But it couldn't be as devastating as made out to be. I can believe he created a boay to survive for him and his family. But not a giant boat in 75 years????? Nah man, it would have decayed

I like the section at the ark encounter where they show how ventilation, waste dumps and water collection systems could have been integrated by a wise ship builder.

@stactionsmedia3318

The MV Golden Ray was a 200-metre long (660 ft) roll-on/roll-off cargo ship designed to carry automobiles that capsized on 8 September 2019 in St. Simons Sound near the Port of Brunswick in Georgia, United States.

This was a steel, state of the art piece of advanced mechanical engineering, designed to roll on roll off, and it capsized due to water ballasting system that mother nature hot the best of. This was on moderate winds against moderate tides. And you think a wooden ark in 6,000 BC, could withstand not only regular tides, but 700 feet tides during the entire world becoming a raging storm??????
You do know the ark wasn't just floating. The world had changed to a sphere of violent storms of water constantly, crashing against 75 year old, untreated, decaying, termite ridden, and warn out wood.

Come on guys. There is no way it could have survived something like that. You are talking about a man with no boat making experince, in a time way before the first warships were even concieved of. And it was meant to withsatnd the greatest natural disaster ever possible??????

That boat would have been shattered due to the 700 feet tidal waves.

Noah's Ark not only could survive, it did.

@@stactionsmedia3318 First of all, you are assuming that Noah had no experience.
Secondly, you are ignoring the fact that there were a lot bigger wooden boats.
Thirdly, Noah had nearly a century to build the Ark he can plan.

@Apollos2.2

It's just natural and easy for modern man to look back at ancient man and think he couldn't have built anything. Not boats not pyramids, not water ways etc etc.

Thanks for sharing the facts fellas👍

Are you saying Noah's Ark sank?

Are you saying there was no food?

@stactionsmedia3318

@@Apollos2.2 I'm sayimg Noahs Ark could only survive because the flood wasn't world destroying. There was a flood yes. One of many. But this particular flood was particularly devasting, and so it created the illusion and legend of world destroying. Did it destroy lands? Of course. But I don't think it could have destroyed the entire world. Remember this is ancient times. There was no internet, or news, or television. Noah couldn't have known that the flood laid waste to every single piece of land. From his perspective it did. From his vantage point, being surrounded by water, definetely he would think it was world destroying. But if it truly was world destroying, I think his ark would have sank. Unless I am underestimating the power of God. And that it was God that protected the ark.
