Originally conceived by producer and arranger Bertrand Burgalat (Nick Cave, Laibach, Jad Wio ...) as a house band for his label Tricatel, following the model of 60s soul labels (e.g. Booker T & the MG's with Stax) and especially for the needs of famous writer Michel Houellebecq's tour in Spring 2000, A.S Dragon quickly revealed itself as a full time band. The former members from Kojak (F), Needles (CH) and Montecarl (F) remember a sold out gig that the prophetic novelist never attended: "It was our best show ... at least, the one that made us realise we weren't just a backing band."
Nevertheless, A.S Dragon hits the road again late 2000 with Bertrand Burgalat, following the release of his acclaimed debut album "The sssound of mmmusic". The experience was immortalised on a live album entitled "Betrand Burgalat meets AS Dragon", out on late 2001. But the band really took its full dimension with the arrival of their frontwoman, Natacha, until then dancer at NY's school of Martha Graham, with russian roots. The new alchemy results in a mix of genres, an hybrid rock n' roll tainted with psychedelism, soul and even electro-pop. With a stylish ambition of Roxy Music, a convulsive soul inherited from the Small Faces, their soon to be released album 'Spanked' takes us aside Blondie to the Pop bands paradise who reconciled punks and clubbers.
Their website is no longer active and also their myspace has not been updated since early 2011. Possible the band is defunct.

Celebrate good times
Come On
Celebrate good times
Come On
There's a party going on right here
A celebration to last throughout the year
Bring your laughter too
We're gonna help you celebrate this party with you
[Bridge]
Celebration
Let's all celebrate and have a good time [Repeat: x1]
Everyone around the world
Come on
[Chorus]
Celebrate good times
Come On
Celebrate good times
Come On
There's a new moon
Rising in the air
It's time to party
Feel it everywhere
So bring your good times
Bring your laughter too
We're gonna help you celebrate
Your party with you
[Bridge]
Celebration
Let's all celebrate and have a good time
Celebration
You know you can't go on
Living life like buried treasure
It's time to stand as one
Everywhere, now what's your pleasure
Everyone around the world
COME ON
[Chorus]
Celebrate good times
Come On
Celebrate good times
Come On
Celebrate good times
Come On (Celebration, There's a party going on)
Celebrate good times
Come On (celebration, Right here)
Celebrate good times
Come On (It's a celebration)[Repeat: x4]
Celebrate good times
The song "Celebration" by A.S Dragon is an upbeat and lively song that invites listeners to celebrate good times with others. The chorus repeatedly reminds listeners to join in and celebrate, while the verses paint a picture of a party atmosphere and encourage others to bring their good times and laughter to the event. The bridge specifically names the event as a celebration, and calls for everyone to come together and have a good time.
The lyrics of the song are relatively simple, with the chorus being the most prominent and catchy part of the song. The verses describe a party atmosphere with a new moon rising and a sense of excitement in the air. The call to action in the bridge is an invitation to join in and participate, rather than simply observe.
The overall message of the song is clear: celebrate good times with others and enjoy the experience of togetherness. The song is a reminder that life is short and should be celebrated, and that it is important to come together as a community and enjoy life's important moments.

This was my first directing/editing gig and the first of three for the guys. Great fun, but Tommy was 6 hours late for the shoot!
Quickest clip I've ever shot, two and half hours. We were using the set for Rasputin the stage show and had to be gone from the State Theatre so the evening's performance could go ahead, albeit with a bit of leftover smoke from our shoot.

I remember the radio station played this on New Years Eve, close to midnight. My villa had flooded while I was at work, so I came home to quite a mess lol. There I was all night, really hot night, with massive air blowers blowing more hot air to dry the carpets, after I’d had a crew come annd suction up all the water. All the while still dancing around the lounge, moving everything I could. I always think of that time when I hear this. Even a flood never stopped me loving Dragon 💕
