My guess; the creature's true language is the "Whoop"s, and the human sounding gibberish they spoke surrounding the camp is similar to how humans meow at their cats. No clue what we are saying, but we vaguely mimick sounds that cats are known to make to lure them closer out of curiosity.

The audio recording hit me hard… ever since I was young, my family went on a trip every year to the Ozarks in Missouri. We always camped at the exact same spot. EVERY SING YEAR weird shit happened. I have so many stories from it.

I heard this exact thing when I was 15 and it was petrifying. It was very late (not sure what time we had no electronics). And we camped beside a river and a spring that fed into it. Odd things always happened at night. We only had small zipper tents. Me and my older brother got our knives and kept the fire going as we listened to the almost human-like talking. We didn’t notice it at first, because the river had frequent kayaking. But after about 5 minutes, nobody came down the river. The talking lasted around 20 minutes (rough guess). And it sounded like it was on the cliff directly across the river. I love the forest, but I feel it is unwise to think there aren’t “things” out there.

After hearing this I can honestly say that a few years back I had snuck into this large outdoor dam / arena kind of place (not sure exactly what it was, it was just huge and made of concrete and was in the center of this forested area behind a church), and me and my friends would go there sometimes to hang out. One night, it was really late and I was with two friends, and we were sitting in the center of the arena, and we heard a loud noise similar to the one in this video. But it sounded more... female? I guess you could say... It was just a higher pitch. And we all looked at each other and were really confused, and I distinctly remember saying "that doesn't sound like an animal," to which one of my friends responded, "it doesn't sound human either." And then we all immediately got this really tense feeling like we were being watched. Now the scary part about this arena was that in order to get in or out you had to walk over the top of this tall edge, that dropped down on both sides into the forest. You had to be careful otherwise you could slip, and so we all got up and started walking to leave. We heard the noise again, only now it was louder and more drawn out and sounded as if it was moving toward us. It was so dark that we couldn't see out in the surrounding forest and we couldn't tell where it was coming from. We turned on our flashlights on our phones and bolted and ran through the edged path, and I actually almost tripped and fell, and my friends grabbed me and we held each other as we ran. We were terrified and whatever the creature was, we heard it make one last sound before we made it out of there. We didn't even notice until we got to the car that we had run through tall blades of grass that were littered with pointy stickers (those little sharp balls that stick to your socks) and that we had also run through a patch of cactus, and I had pieces of cactus stuck in my ankles. We were all scratched up and got the hell out of there as fast as we could.

Weird part... The forest is in a major city, with a very high population, and is surrounded by neighborhoods and buildings. I'm sure to this day that whatever we encountered was not an animal and was not human... What I'm not sure about is why, of all places, it was there?

Why there? Tunnels most likely. The older the building, the more likely its connected to some part of the underground of the city. Another thing could of happened, but itd be super rare. The creature you encountered, got trapped in this forest area. Depending on when the place was abandoned, it or a number of them could of been using it as a shield against EMF & got trapped while the city built up around them.
Its said EMF fucks with certain creatures frequencies, namely the ones in which they arent 'normal' encounters. Concrete like you described can easily shield someone or something from EMF.

Tesla himself knew, everything is a matter of frequency. Literally existence is because a bunch of tiny ass little balls of matter vibrating at the right frequency.
If a species knew how to manipulate frequencies, and could do so where the matter isnt as controlled or solid... say, near an electromagnetic hotspot, it could easily be used to do all kinds of shit we dont even know about, and explain all kinds of shit thats been witnessed world-wide. From portals to weird creatures to shit just vanishing in sight. Anywhere with these strong concentrations, would be subject to accidental manipulation either by people or purposeful manipulation by something else.

hearing the story behind the sierra sounds was incredible
i've always been fascinated with the ideas of the paranormal, cryptids, extra-terrestrials, and all of that. sasquatch, bigfoot, and all of its other many titles, are super prominent legends that anyone who've stumbled across and ventured into this kind of content is BOUND to have heard about it at some point. i grew up fascinated with it, i remember being 7 or 8 and watching Finding Bigfoot with my grandma.
i've watched other documentaries and shows on it, and i've heard the sierra sounds referenced quite a few times but never really heard the story. it's so cool and awesome to finally get some insight, especially told by my favorite youtuber.

your videos and sasquatch chronicles are my two go-to channels. I and my family were the victims of much poltergeist activity while I was growing up. I was skeptical of the idea of sasquatch for a long time. I always attributed my experiences as being supernatural in nature until I started listening to sasquatch chronicles and saw that much of their behavior went hand in hand with some of what I was dealing with as a small child. thank you for your stories. I am at peace with my supernatural experiences and my sasquatch experiences but it is always good to hear the experiences of others as reaffirmations of my own.

I had a similar Sierra Camp story happen to me, that was honestly a bit unsettling hearing that. No communication between them but I had one charge me and they watched from a distance around our camp staying just outside of view and very strategically moving from one spot to the next while occasionally throwing rocks. Had 3 of them behind the cabin and another two in front. The one that charged me was when I was alone with no lights on, but I was holding a 10mm with a flashlight, moment I felt like it was breathing on me I turned on the light and nothing was there...

If you want to hear some fucked Audio, check out Les Strouds Bigfoot series. In the later episodes, i believe 8 or 9, they actually have recordings of these things out in the woods talking to each other, arguing amongst themselves in what can only be described as a more sophisticated great ape vocalization type of language. I havent been able to unhear it.

@Middle Earth Rise of Mordor to me, it sounds like Mohawk and Japanese mixed together,... Like a big chested native american was speaking Japanese to his kids. whom were making the lower noises at the hunters,.. I can mimic these sounds a great deal myself, i can go very lower and high register within syllables because of doing impressions a lot and learning how to mimic speech patterns, but the strength of register behind that deep japanese like speech has tonal shifts within its own register, it would be like speaking a full paragraph in the context of a couple words... when you realllly scrutinize the evidence it gets more and more to the fact that they are definitely out there, and are fascinated with us to one degree, but like other tribes, want nothing to do with us.

I've heard of first hand accounts of people who have survived a bear attack. In one specifically, a grizzly bear attacked a man who was playing dead. The bear was literally jumping on him. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened, and how he broke a rib.... and the scratches were defensive wounds.

I was just thinking this. Watching bear scavenging videos shows them almost literally "jumping" up and down on the carcass' ribcage to break it. Bears will leave virtually nothing of a full grown wild horse carcass in 3 days.

As I was watching this and listening to the audio recording that was captured; my cat, who was purring calm on my lap, stopped purring and completely froze, wide eyed. I know not to mess with or doubt something when my cat even freaks out at a sound, and he literally always purrs unless something is wrong. He was also staring at my door and wanted to immediately jump out of my lap.
I've also spent a few months living in Northern Ontario in the Summer, where I let him be outside most of the time since the road nearby was pretty isolated and we were surrounded by woods. I've also taken him camping once and had heard odd sounds coming from the woods at night once, I had wrote it off as a bird or something and didn't worry about it. But these sounds sounded so similar it made my heart race a bit lol.

@Oizys- Idk man, it is definitely possible that those voices were indeed human, but the age of the recording and just how strong the howling sounded really makes me belive it was an animal. In my opinion it was a sort of ape creature, which would explain the human sounding voices and the area in which they were located in.
I get that most of these stories can not be taken seriously, but wheres the fun in that? ;)

@Oizys- Well I'm more inclined to belive professionals in that field rather than a random youtube comment (no disrespect meant of course), but from what I've heard in the recording, the voice from the man and the animals just sound too diffirent imo. I know it's an old recording, but I'm very much positive that humans can't make such powerful howls.
I don't see any benefit in them staging all of this up and I don't belive a group of hunters from the 70's were trying to play some sort of a prank on the rest of society. Oh also I'm pretty sure hunters of all professions, would know if the howls were from an animal or some drunk crazies and the fact that they were hearing this throughout most of the night adds another layer of doubt that there were actully human beings running and lurking around this lodge in the dead of night for hours.

The last audio recording sound so real, and I 100% believe that it is. Hearing those creatures “communicate” in their human like language, it almost sounded like a mix of Spanish, Russian and Japanese. I found these stories not only chilling, but extremely fascinating. I’m imagining these stories each describe some sort of Bigfoot or Sasquatch like creature. I love how clearly I can picture the first attack. I can see the him happening upon the beast or vice versa. The beast would soon bull rush the hunter who fired his gun once the beast reached him. My theory is the shot didn’t connect as there was no mention of a blood trail, but who knows. Either way, the beast caught him, and assuming it to be a Bigfoot in this instance, it took the hunter into a bear hug to restrain him then squeezed him until the rib broke and punctured his lung. The last video got me genuinely excited, because no only was that recording fascinating, but when he first described that call the creatures made, I thought of gibbons or siamangs doing their morning calls just more along the lines of a greeting or confirmation of location as they then seemed to engage in conversation. Of course these are just my hypothetical thoughts. I could be way off base actually.

The vocalizations recorded by the campers in the Sierra is often referred to as "Samurai speech" because it sounds like dialog from a Japanese samurai movie, very gutteral but unintelligible. There is a CD you can buy of these sounds called Sierra Sounds and it's chilling to hear the sounds because they do often sound close to being human.

That's so frigging creepy. What if the one saying that is just mimicking something one of its previous victims said before it killed them? Kinda like how a Wendigo can mimic human speech it's heard. Though the creature in the recording seems like it's not doing it 100% accurately, maybe 80% accurately which is why the way these creatures speak is so uncanny, it's just slightly off from sounding like a human. I heard something similar to the recordings when I went on a hike on the Appalachian trail a few years ago. At first I thought someone was trying to scare me but then whatever was making the mumbling sounds let out the most terrifying noise I’ve ever heard. It sounded like a mix between a scream and a roar. I never saw what made the sounds but needless to say I didn’t sleep that night and I got out of that forest as soon as I could

I used to live near the Adirondack Mountains and heard animal sounds exactly like that pretty regularly. I don't know what animal makes the sound as I never saw the animal myself, but I have a very hard time believing hunters would be so spooked by that sound.

I grew up hunting out in Swain mountain wilderness in California. I've heard that. When I was little dad would tell me it was a coyote with laryngitis. Once I got older he admitted in all his life living and working in the woods he'd never heard anything like that in his life. He was in his 50s then and we still hunted there and camped at the same spot on robber's creek. Until we moved up north we would hear it a few nights every archery season an dad always said if it dont bother us we aren't bothering them. We did go search for tracks a few times when it sounded like it had been out in the swampy ground the night before and never found any sign aside from deer and raccoons tracks out there. But till he died he said he'd never heard any sound like that in the woods before there. The weird thing was our dog was afraid of it. He'd want in the tent any night it showed up and he had barked at bears and coyotes in the past. That thing he wanted nothing to do with.

I live in Eastern Ontario, Canada. I have heard it too. I was told it was an injured trumpeter swan, or moose during mating season, or even coywolves or coydogs.
Just depends on who you tell. But it definitely doesn't feel like right when you hear it.

I live in Burlington Vermont. Me and some friends went and stayed on Glastonbury mountain one weekend and I can say from experience it’s one of the creepiest places I’ve ever seen. Randomly the woods will go from normal to dead quiet in an instant. No birds no noise whatsoever. Then u will hear strange growling. And the feeling of being watched is almost overwhelming

I think the scariest thing about the bigfoot recording is that it sounds like they're trying to mimic Elk, so are they doing so because they're trying to hunt the elk too? Or because they know it will attract hunters who they are actually trying to hunt.

I really don't think they do that. I don't think they're aggressive to humans outright. It's possible they were mimicking elk to try to lure elk, but it's also very possible they were trying to mimic humans because a few of the Native tribes in North America claim to have a historical relationship with Sasquatch. Therefore, the sounds they are making are possible attempts to mimic these Indigenous languages. It's especially moreso likely to be attempts to mimic humans because they RAN over when they saw the fire. And then carefully walked around the camp just outside of the firelight. Therefore suggesting they know exactly what that fire means: humans.

That recording is really eerie, I’m a primatologist in training and that definitely sounded like a primate vocalization. Howler monkeys make a similar sound in Central/South America and siamangs make a similar whoop in Asia. The odd human chattering was super creepy though no clue wtf that was! Some animals do make sounds that might resemble humans (like a female fox sounding like a human woman being murdered, but it felt very off and not like any animal we know of today.

I still remember the first time I heard a female fox in heat. My friend and I were in her backyard, which is surrounded by forest, laying on her trampoline looking for UFO's at night. So we were just laying there staring at the sky. All of a sudden, we heard the most awful and scary screaming noise coming from the woods and we were so scared, it took us a good few minutes to get the courage to move and run into the house.

We were 5 seconds away from calling the police because it sounded just like someone was being murdered or raped in the woods when my friends dad walked by, stuck his ear out the door, looked at us like we were kind of adorable but also kind of dumb, and explained what female foxes sound like.

That shit is terrifying!

I've heard these strange sounds by a large group of these things in the deep wilderness of north central Pennsylvania. I was only 14 but I did know about howler monkeys and that is the first thing I thought of but there are no howler monkeys in central PA in the most remote part. Then there was other types of screams and crazy freaky noises and I've never heard and don't know how to explain. And it gets worse because when we hollered at them and asked them to show themselves they just got louder and crazier and started throwing rocks and sticks at us from up this steep hill and maybe from the trees. I almost got killed later by a rock the size of a grapefruit whizzing right past my face. Then later something snapped and knocked down a very large tree. This was with my boy scout group.

The instinct is real. I've had the feeling of being watched then been spooked and follwed by unknown things out alone in the wilderness. Could it have been animals stalking me those two separate times? Possibly but I couldn't see what it was those two times so who knows for sure. What ever they were I'm just glad they eventually stopped following me left me alone, maybe it was because I tried act confident like nothing was there 🤷🏽‍♀️ as badly as I wanted to run I knew it would make me look like prey so I didn't. Both instances were in completely separate areas and types of forrest, one was a high Sierra pine forrest that was thick but not dense and the other was in gold country having mixed trees mostly oak, poison oak, bushes and was pretty dense.

They say a lot of these creatures repeat certain phrases or sounds they have heard in the past. What makes that terrifying is at one point in the last story you can hear the creature say what sounds like "Ohhhhhh I'm Dyyyyyyying" which makes you really wonder. Very spooky.

I watched a few videos about sasquatch awhile back and a few people who claimed to have encounters tried explaining what the noises and language sounded like and said it almost seemed like ancient samurai and primate mixed. Hi. My first time commenting on here even though I watch you all the time. I’d just like to say that I truly believe in those beings. Our people are from the mountains of Laos, which is basically a jungle, and stories have been passed down from generations to generations about these creatures. They described the sound they make to be exactly what was heard on the audio tape that was recorded. Legend has it that these creatures can shapeshift and come into appearance as another human, and even someone close to you. They hunt you down, crush you, and eat your insides out. So yeah, these things probably exist.
