(That's right)
(That's right)
(That's right, that's right)
Be near me, be near
Be near me, be near
Ever had that feeling, almost broke in two
Said that you were leaving, like you do, you do
All my dreams came true last night, all my hopes and fears
All my dreams came true once more, in tears, in tears
Be near me, be near
Be near me, be near
Be near
Never had that feeling until I first met you
Never felt like kneeling, now I do, yes I do
All my dreams came true last night, all my hopes and fears
All my dreams came true once more, in tears, in tears

β@gloriaelenaimperatore4222 I was born in '83, but I experienced enough of the 80s to miss it.
I have two brothers who are 6 and 9 years older than me and whatever they were into or did, I was right there for it.
I'm grateful for their influence on me, otherwise I would've missed out on practically everything that was happening at the time.
I miss the summers spent together at our family's cabin, Air Force squadron picnics, sitting in the living room with my brothers and watching music videos on MTV., my brothers reading their comic books to me and our younger sister, going trick or treating in Air Force Base housing, watching Star Trek the Next Generation on Saturday nights together.
I always thought that when we all grew up that we'd all have kids of our own and they'd be close with each other like we all were together and with our cousins. Not how life went, but when I listen to songs like this I'm taken back to how we all were then and it makes me smile to myself.

My dear brother said this recently: The 1980s was a better decade for music than many people acknowledge. I agree. ABC was one of my favorite groups.
@tedtan6449
Underrated Song...
@James-if3kc
Literally everyone says this in the comments section on every single 80s video on youtube. Your brother is not special.

β@@James-if3kc Because it is true

@@stevedavenport1202 What I was saying is that EVERYONE praises 80s music now, so it's not "underrated" like this giuy said.
@maxsmart9116
β@@James-if3kcHe never claimed his brother was special. Take a chill pill.

God's favorite decade.

Be Near Me by ABC is a perfect example of the great music we had in the 80's, there was so much new music being released so fast you could not keep up with it all at the record store but soon you would hear it on the radio. We were overwhelmed like a tidal wave. If you got to grow up in the 50's through the 80's YOU were blessed!
@theuglynovember
Lol I dunno kind of nicer to live now cause I can listen to all of this great music but also enjoy modern medical care and a reduction in criminalization of homosexuality (which is important because ABC made me gay)
