The opening line of “Wish” by ARASHI(嵐) talks about the start of a love song in a town where people gather and come closer when they hear the flow of a love song. The singer promises to take his lover to where the shining and sparkling heartstopping and piercing light is, almost sounding as if he is making a wish. He further says that love makes people stronger and brings them closer even when they have a heavy heart.
The next verse talks about how perfect his lover is, and he wishes to be the kind of person perfect for her someday. He regrets that he is not the “gentleman” type that his lover seems to appreciate, but he still wishes to climb the high wind-blown slopes with his lover by his side. Here, he promises to save her and protect her. The final verse talks about the melody of love and how it affects everyone around them. The singer promises to forever love his partner.
