Among his most famous songs is “9pm (Till I Come)”, which topped the charts in the United Kingdom in 1998 and is widely regarded as the UK’s first Trance number one. The track features a guitar riff which became hugely popular. This guitar sound, which he accidentally found while experimenting with a new producing deck, became the trademark of his early hits. ATB continues to evolve and change with every album. His current style involves more vocals and varied sounds, with frequent pianos.
Despite only releasing a few more singles in the UK, namely “Don’t stop!” (No.3, 300,000 copies sold) and “Killer” (No.4, 200,000 copies sold), he still regularly releases music in his native Germany and in other parts of Europe, where he has scored big hits such as “I Don’t Wanna Stop” and his cover of Olive’s 1996 hit “You’re Not Alone”.
“Two Worlds” (2000) is a two-disc album based upon the concept of different types of music for different moods, with titles such as “The World Of Movement” and “The Relaxing World”.
ATB’s latest hits include uplifting “Ecstasy” and chilling “Marrakech”, both from the album “No Silence” (2004) and also released as singles.
In 2005, ATB released “Seven Years”, a compilation of 20 songs, including many greatest hits such as “The Summer”, “Let U Go”, “Hold U”, “Long Way Home”, and “I Don’t Wanna Stop”. Additionally, “Seven Years includes six new tracks: “Humanity”; “Let U Go (2005 Reworked)”; “Believe in Me”; “Trilogie, Pt. 2”; “Take Me Over”; and “Far Beyond”. Many of ATB’s recent albums have featured vocals from Roberta Carter Harrison, singer for the Canadian duo Wild Strawberries.
His next album was co-written by vocalist Tiff Lacey. “Trilogy” was released in 2007. The release of his second single “Justify” was moved from November 2006 to 2007. The single “Renegade” was released on 2007-04-12 and features Heather Nova.

In Love With the DJ
ATB Lyrics

And maybe you can't get to sleep at night
It keeps on like a little trance
Through the heart and back again
Like a stranger who promises he won't forget you
I'm in love with the DJ
Till you know
I'm in love with the DJ
Till you know
Play my song Mr. DJ
I've read everything about you
So don't talk, there's nothing left to say tonight
Like a moth in a windowpane
I can see what I can't get
As the star fades out into the lonely morning
I'm in love with the DJ
Till you know
Play my song Mr. DJ
I'm in love with the DJ
Till you know, till you know
Till you know, till you know
I'm in love with the DJ
Till you know
Play my song Mr. DJ
I'm in love with the DJ
Till you know, till you know
Till you know, till you know
I'm in love with the DJ
Till you know
Play my song Mr. DJ
I'm in love with the DJ
Till you know, till you know
Till you know, till you know
The lyrics to ATB feat. Roberta Carter Harrison's song "In Love With The DJ" speak of being entranced by the music and the DJ playing it. The first verse describes a feeling of loneliness and insomnia that is only interrupted by the music that keeps playing like a little trance. It could also refer to the DJ keeping the listener in a trance through the music that he or she plays. The lyrics then compare the feeling to that of a stranger who promises not to forget you. This could be referencing the idea that the music and the DJ are the only constants in the listener's life when everything else is fleeting and ever-changing.
The chorus repeats the phrase "I'm in love with the DJ" and begs for the DJ to play a specific song. The lyrics speak to the idea that music can be a form of love and the DJ is the one who controls it. They are the one who dictates what the listeners dance to and what emotions they feel. The second verse speaks of a desire to know the DJ on a personal level, but also the realization that there's nothing left to say. The lyrics compare this feeling to that of a moth trying to escape through a windowpane, unable to reach what they want. The final line speaks of a star fading out into the lonely morning, implying that the magic of the night and the connection to the DJ has ended.
Overall, the lyrics to "In Love With The DJ" express a feeling of being entranced by the music and the DJ, and wanting to be a part of that world. It speaks of a desire for love and connection through the music that only the DJ can provide.
