Right Back
ATB Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I was wrong to say I wouldn't change a thing
'Cause in the story of our lives, the best of times through colour glass

And if you should call
It's no trouble, no trouble at all
I'll take out the sun, back where we begun again

Time goes on enough to let me move on past
But every little now & then it creeps on back to shade my smile

I'm here once again
But I'm deep & I'm feelin' a pain
So who takes the fall that covers it all again

Put it on the right track, get it right back
A message from my heart it's too loud to stay apart

So put it on the right track, steal it right back
It's high time now

Overall Meaning

The song "Right Back" by ATB is a reflective piece that tells the story of a relationship that has ended, but the singer is still holding on to the memories they shared. The opening line, "I was wrong to say I wouldn't change a thing," sets the tone for the rest of the song. The singer admits that they made mistakes and would change things if they could. The second line, "Cause in the story of our lives, the best of times through colour glass," suggests that the relationship had some good times but, perhaps, distorted by the rose-tinted lenses of memory.

The chorus of the song talks about the singer's willingness to go back to the relationship if their former partner were to reach out, saying "It's no trouble, no trouble at all. I'll take out the sun, back where we begun again." The past relationship is depicted as a happy place where everything was better, and if given the chance, the singer would like to recreate that happy space.

The second verse acknowledges that time has passed, and while the singer has moved on, the memories of the past come back to haunt them. "Time goes on enough to let me move on past, but every little now & then it creeps on back to shade my smile." The third and final verse pleads with the former partner to help mend their broken hearts, saying, "So who takes the fall that covers it all again? Put it on the right track, get it right back, It's high time now." The singer seems to want the relationship mended in a way that'll work for both of them, not just themselves.

There’s a great deal of people who do not care about God at all. I think they are screaming this, like a silent scream. This silent screams says; I do not care if God does exist or not.
I mean they actually do not express this in words, but they tell this by their doings, life styles They set up objectives like having charisma, having perfect opposite-sex friendships, having Money and getting more and more pleasure out of lie, as the ultimate objectives of the life. These are of course very small objectives with respect to objectives set out by Islam.
People live like this as if they were to live forever and there’s no death. They focus on these objectives so much that in time. They feel okay to overpower others to gain charisma. They put their carreers above everything or they only focus on having perfect opposite-sex friendships.
They want to gain more Money and get more pleasure in life. Even thought people actually do not put this into words. They live as they do not care if God does exist or not in a way. They do not care at all and they even do not put Allah's existence on their agenda.
We have to explain that if indeed God exists. This fact will reveal to be more important than anything else. We will have to explain to people that the existenceof God change everything. We need to tell the story of the pattern of life and push people into being more concious regarding the matters of life and death.
Death is reality thet ca not and should not be taken lighlty.
Let’s try to Picture this in way. Think about yourself !!
