<… Read Full Bio ↴There are 4 bands with the name ATC/A Touch of Class/Above the Clouds.
1) ATC, meaning A Touch of Class (the group's previous name), is a pop band based in Germany, although the four members each come from different countries — Joe from New Zealand, Sarah from Australia, Tracey from England, and Livio from Italy. All four members were performers in the German production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Cats" in Hamburg when they met. Before the release of their second album the band had to drop the use of the abbreviation of their band name due to a legal dispute.
They broke into the mainstream with their electronica crossover hit single "Around the World (La La La La La)" (a cover of Ruki Vverkh's "Pesenka") off their debut album Planet Pop (February 6, 2001) under Sony BMG Music Entertainment. "Around the World" has received massive radio play world-wide, but the rest of the album was generally considered lacking by critics. In 2000 they won an ECHO for Best Dance Act. Since then, they have produced a second album, Touch The Sky (2003).
After flopping with their second album BMG dropped ATC in May 2003. The band spoke about a break for 2-3 years to change their music, but now there is no sign of a comeback as each member has resumed his or her "normal" life again.
2) A Touch of Class, a 5 member Jazz Combo
Based in the Niagara Region and directed by Craig Inglis, A Touch of Class plays music ranging from the post World War I
"Tin Pan Alley", to the romantic ballads and Swing tunes of the 30's and 40's Big Band era, and Classic Rock of the 60's & 70's.
The Band includes: Alto Sax - Channing Julien, Tenor Sax - Lucas Durand, Baritone Sax - Talek Julian, Bass - Liv Shaw, and Percussionist - Adam Slinn

Mistake No. 2
ATC Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
So conventional
Sometimes love just wins you over
I've come to life it's true
It's not intentional
Every time when we move closer
I'll take the fall
You just see right through me
It may be wrong
But all along
It keeps on turning turning
I could walk away now
End it perfectly
And just say your words are
Not affecting me
Somewhere deep inside
I know it may be wrong
But I'm ready to commit
Mistake number two
Mistake number two
Must have heard it once a million times
From everyone the perfect time
But you're the one to recognize
There are things I need in my life
So I'll take the fall
A twist I know
It keeps on turning turning
Here it comes again
It never ends
I keep on falling further
I'm not sure that I can walk away now...
The opening lines of ATC's "Mistake No. 2" seem to convey a sense of resignation to the ups and downs of love. The cruel world and conventional nature of the experience highlight the challenges and expectations that come along with it. Regardless, the song then acknowledges how love can still unexpectedly win people over, bringing them to life. The singer makes it clear that their attraction and actions towards the subject of the song are not intentional, but they still can't help but be drawn closer to them.
As the singer sings about taking the fall and twisting, it feels as though they are referring to assuming the consequences and responsibilities of their actions or choices. They recognize that their interest in this individual might be wrong, but they choose to commit fully regardless. The song then suggests that this is the singer's second mistake, meaning that they had already taken a step forward that didn't work out in their favor. But despite that, they are willing to make yet another mistake when it comes to matters of the heart.
The chorus of "Mistake No. 2" repeats the same words, emphasizing the inescapability of the situation. The singer cannot help but fall further into this love, no matter how much they try to resist or label it as a mistake. By the end of the song, it's unclear whether they will be able to walk away from this relationship or not.
