A Boy and his Blob Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

A touch, a feel life thrill in my face
No stress, no tear as it all decays
Try cast no face want this to be played
Can't run, can't hide it's a peculiar shape

A touch, a feel life thrill in my face
No stress, no tear as it all decays
Try cast no face want this to be played
Can't run, can't hide it's a peculiar shape

Live your music come on as you feel it now
All the sun vibration shaken all around
Talk about the feeling and the mass of rhythm
Live your music come on as you feel it now
Live your music come on as you feel it now
All the sun vibration shaken all around
Talk about the feeling and the mass of rhythm
Live your music come on as you feel it now

I remember being a 7 year old kid in 1992, and my dad getting home from work to me playing this game, wearily telling me about the fact that he had been getting weird looks from the other fellas at work because he couldn't stop whistling this tune all day long! 🤣🤣🤣

I used to love playing this game as a kid! The music was upbeat, and watching the blob change into silly shapes with each jellybean was so fun. Especially the Cola one, and the extra sound effect it made! Such an underrated gem from the NES!

This game seemed impossible to me as a kid

Kevin Liu

Good tune to listen to for relaxing after a long day.

I'm 11 yet I still played this game on an original NES when I was younger😄

MrKushGuy

You’re alright, kid

This is such a strange song. It's off beat ever so slightly in many places. It feels like it wasn't written with a typical NES music editor program, but somehow like hand-programmed into memory.

The notes are awkward lengths and don't start exactly at the right time. You can really hear the delay at the fourth note of the second bar in the song, the exact note is the second one you hear if you click on 0:07. Also, things like one of the two long notes dropping at 0:38 seems almost accidental in its timing rather than intentionally designed that way.

The timing is awkward, the song itself feels almost crude and amateurish, but I'll be damned if it's not one of the catchiest thing that came from the NES. I love it more for its faults. Perfection can be boring and expected, The Mountain Goats taught me that.

Apparently this song gives me a lot of feelings, hahah.
