The band was on both the 2005 and 2006 Vans Warped Tours (often on the smaller Ernie Ball Stage). They were also at the 2006 annual music festival held in the Phoenix area, "Edgefest".
The original album "An Offer You Can't Refuse" was composed of all band members except Dan Parker who was added to the line-up. A Change Of Pace also goes by the acronym "ACOP".
On June 1st, 2008, the band revealed on their MySpace blog how original singer, Torry Jasper would be replaced by their good friend Micah Bentley. The change brought about a new sound, as well as a new EP entitled "Just No Better Way." The news comes merely weeks before A Change of Pace heads out on their summer tour.
After delays, the band put forth their final LP in February 22, 2011, entitled "Couldn't Be Worse". It incorporated both of their older and newer sounds. Shortly thereafter, on March 13, it was announced on their Facebook page that after 10 years, they would disband, but not before playing a farewell show on April 22 at The Clubhouse in Tempe, Arizona.
A Change of Pace mixed their own brand of metal, punk and emo.
The band members as of 2011:
Micah Bentley: Vocals
Jonathan Kelly: Drums
Johnny Abdullah: Bass, vocals
Adam Rodgers: Lead guitar
Dan Parker: Guitar

I'm going places you never dreamed about
So tired of stupid stories
I'll write a song the world can sing aloud
We'll break the mold they gave us
We're going places they never dreamed about
Jump in and join the chorus
We're writing songs the world can
Lend me your voice, sing it
Louder, I can't hear it
Lend me your voice, sing it
Louder, I can't hear it
I'm looking back on all those long days
When I was just a kid without a care
You asked what could I have to say
And I replied, "you're listening to it here"
Flashbacks are force of habit
When we were just some kids without a care
The living room we used to practice
The songs that you're listening
To right here
Lend me your voice, sing it
Louder, I can't hear it
Lend me your voice, sing it
Louder, I can't hear it
My head's a mess it's waiting to unfold
My head's a mess I'm waiting to unfold
Would you listen to me?
Would you listen to me?
My head's a mess it's waiting to unfold
My head's a mess I'm waiting to unfold
Would you listen to me?
Would you listen to me?
Lend me your voice, sing it
Louder, I can't hear it
Lend me your voice, sing it
Louder, I can't hear it
Lend me your voice sing it
The lyrics of A Change of Pace's song "A Song the World Can Sing Out Loud" is an anthem of empowerment for people who are tired of being held down by society's expectations. The first verse talks about the singer's refusal to believe in the lies and false promises of their oppressors. Instead of being content with what they're given, they're determined to break out of the mold and rise above their circumstances. They're not afraid to take risks and explore new territories that most people never even dream of.
The chorus is an invitation for everyone to join in and lend their voices to the cause. The singer recognizes that they cannot do it alone, and they need the support and solidarity of like-minded people to make a difference. The second verse is a nostalgic reflection of the singer's past. They remember the innocent days of their childhood when they first discovered their love for music. Despite being dismissed and underestimated by others, they persevered and practiced with passion and determination. Now that they've come into their own, they want to share their music with the world and inspire others to do the same.
Overall, "A Song the World Can Sing Out Loud" is a call to action for people to be true to themselves, to break away from the status quo, and to use their talents and creativity to make a positive impact on the world.
