Anything You Want
A Foot In Cold Water Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

In the morning lights
Feels so good, by me
It could be so right
You and me, tonight

Make me do anything you want
Make me do anything you want
Work hard in the daytime
For our dinner at night
Comfort me at the right time
Everything's gonna be alright

Make me do anything you want
Make me be everything you want
Make me do anything you want

Make me do anything you want
Make me do anything you want
Make me do anything you want

Make me do anything you want
Make me do anything you want

Overall Meaning

The song "Anything You Want" by A Foot In Cold Water is all about submission to love. The lyrics suggest that the singer is willing to do anything for their lover, whatever they want. The verses set the stage for this message by referencing the morning lights and the comfort of being with their partner. The first line of the chorus, "Make me do anything you want," solidifies this theme, as the singer expresses their willingness to submit to their lover's desires. The repetition of the phrase throughout the chorus emphasizes this idea and reinforces the importance of submission in a relationship. The final verses once again highlight the need for comfort and reassurance in a relationship, with the line "Everything's gonna be alright." Overall, the song suggests that sometimes love requires submission and the willingness to do anything for one's partner.

They're from Birchmount Collegiate, in "Scarberia" and it's Now Toronto East's regional #Sports high school. In Fact it was one of the Pan Am Games' primary Venues about 7 or 8 years ago... (Great Stadium with baseball, cricket, soccer and YES, a batting cage!) located directly next door to Variety Village!

AFICW recorded This INCREDIBLE Tune in Toronto before eventually moving to Los Angeles on Daffodil Records by a supportive independent label led by a Brit who has Helped MANY!

Had the Honour of 'grunt crewing' at at least one of their local high school Shows here before they when I was about 12 or 13...

They were AWESOME #Live, and THIS is Still One of my #Favourite Songs!

Thanks for letting me Post this detailed update with my fond #Memories, too... Most Grateful!

❤ 😂

Wonderful to Learn...

Were you Aware that they went to Birchmount Collegiate Institute in "Southwest Scarberia'" before eventually moving to LA?

They were AWESOME and one of Daffodil Records first signings!

Had the Honour of helping their show set-ups but we did not get to speak with them directly...

True Honour, though!

There SURE Are TALENTED Canadian Musicians and Songwriters, however, it seems we Lack Supportive Integrity when it comes to Encouraging and properly engaging Them...

Most Artists were literally Forced to LEAVE Canada to build their Careers...

Today, in this DIGITAL AGE it will be VERY EASY to be based ANYWHERE to build your Musical Livelihood.

SADLY, the TECH BULLIES and their "Street HACKERS" can Undermine the Opportunities Here, for Canada.

THEY'RE SELFISH and SELF SERVING.

Lacking Respect for Those Who DESIGN and with Proven Track Records of Achievement.

NOT Funny, and it's our FUTURE CHILDREN who are BEING H😅URT NOW 😂

I think this song is so cool! I'm a Senior citizen and hearing that song brings back some very fine memories. Canada had such great talent in the 70's. Very proud of that!

Great song from great days. Had just turned 21 when it came out. The memories of being with friends, twisting up a couple of numbers and listening to music - no cells, texts, emails, tweets, videos and guess what.....no ADD and Ritalin. We lived in and for the moment. Thanks for posting the full version of one of the greatest songs of all time by any band - Canadian or otherwise.
