We use symbols to protect ourselves from the danger of love and remind ourselves of its potential harm.

The same people who create weapons and destruction may also create the illusions of beauty and fashion.

The manufactured products of love can be just as toxic and dangerous as weapons.

The story of love can be tragic and can result in physical or emotional damage.

When love fails or is rejected, it can be a waste of time and energy.

Clutching our X's, and pledged to our kids...
