In January 2022 it was revealed that the band had gotten back together with the original She Watched the Sky line-up, minus Kyle Simmons. The current band's line up is: Jordan Blake (lead vocals), Nick Miller (guitar), Joey Wilson (guitar), Brian White (bass & backup vocals), and Cory La Quay (drums).
However, on February 16, 2022, a new song, Dead Serious, was released by former vocalist Michael "Jag" Jagmin under the A Skylit Drive name, thus creating two separate versions of the band. One being the original lineup, and the other led by Jag.
Michael "Jag" Jagmin filed a lawsuit against the original members of the band for infringement on the name on March 15, 2022, and on April 3, 2022 Jagmin announced two new members joining him and Jon Kintz in his ASD lineup: drummer Casey "KC" Marotta and guitarist/vocalist Louie Caycoya.
On April 23, 2022, the original lineup announced that moving forward, they would preform as "ASD" for the foreseeable future, with Jag's lineup holding the rights to the "A Skylit Drive" name.
on May 1st, 2023, original ASD vocalist Jordan Blake would pass away

"We will be together no doubt"
Did you really go away?
You left me here
What did you say?
Finders keepers is true
All I knew was dead and gone because of you
The song "Air the Enlightenment" by A Skylit Drive is a heart-wrenching tale of a person who is left alone after their loved one's departure. The lyrics convey the message of hope and despair in equal measure. The first two lines, "She said, 'Wait for me no matter the count'/ 'We will be together no doubt'" suggest that the singer's lover has left him/her temporarily and has promised to return soon. The singer is hoping that their lover keeps the promise, no matter how much time it takes.
However, the following lines switch to a different emotion, more of betrayal and hurt. The line "Did you really go away?" suggests the singer's skepticism and confusion over their lover's departure. The next line "You left me here/ What did you say" emphasizes the loneliness and abandonment the singer feels in their lover's absence. The singer then realizes that the phrase "Finders keepers is true" might have been the reason for their lover's departure. The line signifies a feeling of loss, as if the singer has lost something they thought they had found, and it was too late to reclaim it.
The concluding line "But when I woke the world around me was crushed/ All I knew was dead and gone because of you" conveys a feeling of despair and hopelessness in the singer's life. The singer has lost everything, including their lover, who left them without any explanation. The reference to "Air the Enlightenment" in the song's title suggests that the singer has been seeking enlightenment or a way out of their current dismal situation. In summary, the lyrics depict the emotional rollercoaster of the singer after experiencing a painful loss.
