Since their early-2011 inception, the band has been ever-active in the studio, having amassed an EP and a full-length to their name. As lead guitarist Brayden Deskins explains, “Our debut full-length ‘Hieme Bellum’ is really special to us. It’s a concept album about a kid who becomes fascinated with death and learns that love is more powerful than negative thoughts and feelings. It’s weird and it’s perfectly us – our individual personalities and spontaneity really shines through.” With an unshakeable group dynamic and chemistry, the future looks bright for the band. “We’re best friends and we want to make music together. We want our music to reach as many people who enjoy what we have to say as possible. There’s nothing that could be more fulfilling than that for us,” adds drummer Taylor Stover. The band will be periodically releasing singles and touring extensively, particularly around the west-coast, for the remainder of 2013.

'Cause you're the fix that I can't learn to live without
I love how you string me along
You're the score and I want more each time we go on
Your lips, they poison my veins
And your hips always calling my name
Look at what you did to me
Damn girl, this is typical, typical
Burned out, feeling critical, critical
You're the drug I can't put down and I can't stop
Girl, you make me a criminal
Damn girl, this is typical, typical
Burned out, feeling critical, critical
You're the drug I can't put down and I can't stop
Girl, you make me a criminal
Na na na na na na
Na na na na
Girl, you make me a criminal
Na na na na na na
Na na na na
Girl, you make me a criminal
The way you drop that dress
And what's underneath
Girl, you've been blessed with all
The things that bring the devil out in me
Secrets are exposed (When the lights are out)
Everybody knows (What you're all about)
I just can't say no
Damn girl, this is typical, typical
Burned out, feeling critical, critical
You're the drug I can't put down and I can't stop
Girl, you make me a criminal
Damn girl, this is typical, typical
Burned out, feeling critical, critical
You're the drug I can't put down and I can't stop
Girl, you make me a criminal
Na na na na na na
Na na na na
Girl, you make me a criminal
Na na na na na na
Na na na na
Girl, you make me a criminal
Damn girl, this is typical, typical
Burned out, feeling critical, critical
I can't stop when you're around
You're the drug I can't put down
Na na na na na na
Na na na na, na na na
Na na na na na na
Na na na na, na na na
Damn girl, this is typical, typical
Burned out, feeling critical, critical
You're the drug I can't put down and I can't stop
Girl, you make me a criminal
Na na na na na na
Na na na na
Girl, you make me a criminal
Na na na na na na
Na na na na
Girl, you make me a criminal

The song "Winter" by A Yawn Worth Yelling speaks about being addicted to someone, even though the relationship is toxic. The lyrics express the singer's conflicting feelings towards his partner, who wears him out but also string him along. The relationship is like a drug that he can't put down, and even the way she drops her dress brings out the devil in him. The implication is that he is getting into trouble because of her, hence the line "Girl, you make me a criminal." He cannot resist her, and the more time they spend together, the more addicted he becomes. The final lines show his lack of control in the relationship, as he cannot stop himself from coming back to her even though it harms him.
The lyrics showcase the darker side of being in love, where a partner can be a source of addiction rather than comfort. The song explores the irony of wanting someone that is not good for you, and how the desire for the experience of love and passion can blind someone from seeing the reality of the situation. The song is a cautionary tale about getting too involved with someone who is toxic, even when they are everything one could want superficially.
