She first gained recognition at the age of 10, when she appeared on the television show Star Search and performed in concert alongside Gladys Knight. At the age of 12, Aaliyah signed with Jive Records and her uncle Barry Hankerson's Blackground Records. She released her debut album, Age Ain't Nothing but a Number the album sold three million copies in the United States and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry.
Aaliyah worked with record producers Timbaland and Missy Elliott for her second album, One in a Million, which sold three million copies in the United States and more than eight million copies worldwide. In 2000, Aaliyah appeared in her first film, Romeo Must Die. She contributed to the film's soundtrack, which spawned the single "Try Again". The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 solely on airplay, making Aaliyah the first artist in Billboard history to achieve this goal. After completing Romeo Must Die, Aaliyah filmed her role in Queen of the Damned, and released, in 2001, her self-titled third and final studio album, which topped the Billboard 200. Unfortunately, the 22 year old singer's life was tragically cut short in a 2001 plane crash after filming her video for "Rock The Boat" in The Bahamas.
Aaliyah became famous in her own right during the mid-1990s with several hit records from the songwriting/production team of Missy Elliott and Timbaland, and their associate Steve "Static" Garrett. Notable for recording several hit singles, including "One in A Million" and "Try Again", Aaliyah has sold over 32 million records total worldwide, including posthumous releases. Two posthumous albums have been released since Haughton's death: I Care 4 U in December 2002, and Ultimate Aaliyah in April 2005, the latter of which was released as a box set that included her greatest hits and a documentary on her life. Haughton also ventured outside of music, modeling for Tommy Hilfiger and starring in two motion pictures (Romeo Must Die & Queen of The Damned) before her untimely death.

Just fly, beat-y, and mh
There's no need for you, baby
It ain't what you think, so don't worry
You remember back in the day when we'd vibe?
It was special and we always stayed down
No matter where I went, you'd stay in touch
Now you claiming that you feelin' like things
Ain't really been the way they used to be
And you say that it seems like I've changed
But I'm still the same
There's no need for you, oh (to worry 'bout me)
Baby, no, no, no (don't worry 'bout me)
It ain't what you think (you still got me)
So don't worry (don't worry 'bout it, don't worry 'bout it)
Even though it seems (you're losing me)
And things (ain't what they used to be)
Baby, so don't worry (I ain't gonna leave)
(Don't worry 'bout, don't worry 'bout me)
I was headin' out to Cali for a show
Told you that on Tuesday I'd be home
Left a message on your voicemail
Sayin' I'd call you later to inform you I'm alright
Now you callin' just to tell me that you heard
I was seen in a Bentley with my girls (so what?)
On the way to a spot where people hang
But nothing's changed
There's no need for you (to worry 'bout me)
Baby, no (don't worry 'bout me)
It ain't what you think (you still got me)
So don't worry (you still got me)
(Don't worry 'bout it, don't worry 'bout it)
Even though it seems (you're losing me)
And things (ain't what they used to be)
Baby (I ain't gonna leave)
So don't worry (don't worry 'bout, don't worry 'bout me)
There's no need for you (to worry 'bout me)
Baby (don't worry 'bout me)
It ain't what you think (you still got me)
So don't worry (don't worry 'bout it, don't worry 'bout it)
Even though it seems (you're losing me)
And things (ain't what they used to be)
Baby (I ain't gonna leave)
So don't worry (don't worry 'bout, don't worry 'bout me)
There's no need to worry 'bout what I do when I'm away
(Don't worry 'bout a damn thing)
Don't worry 'bout what I do in my town
(Don't worry 'bout a damn thing)
Don't worry 'bout how I do when I put it down
(Don't worry 'bout a damn thing)
Trust in me everything's gonna be alright
(Don't worry 'bout a damn thing)
We're gonna work it out, I'll be home tonight
There's no need for you (don't worry 'bout me)
Baby (don't worry 'bout me)
It ain't what you think (don't worry 'bout me)
So don't worry (don't worry 'bout me)
Even though it seems (don't worry 'bout me)
And things (don't worry 'bout me)
Baby (don't worry 'bout me)
So don't worry
There's no need for you (to worry 'bout me)
Baby (don't worry 'bout me)
It ain't what you think (you still got me)
So don't worry (don't worry 'bout it, don't worry 'bout it)
Even though it seems (you're losing me)
And things (ain't what they used to be)
Baby (I ain't gonna leave)
So don't worry (don't worry 'bout, don't worry 'bout me)
There's no need for you (to worry 'bout me)
Baby (don't worry 'bout me)
It ain't what you think (you still got me)
So don't worry (don't worry 'bout it, don't worry 'bout it)
Even though it seems (you're losing me)
And things (ain't what they used to be)
Baby (I ain't gonna leave)
So don't worry (don't worry 'bout, don't worry 'bout me)
The lyrics to Aaliyah's "Don't Worry" convey a reassuring message to a lover who is feeling insecure about their relationship. Aaliyah acknowledges that things may not be the same as they used to be, but reassures her partner that there's no need to worry because she's still the same person and committed to their relationship. She reminds them that they've always had a special connection, and that even though she's away on tour, their love will prevail. The repetition of "don't worry" throughout the song emphasizes the message of reassurance and comfort.
The song's strong beat and catchy melody have made it a fan favorite among Aaliyah's discography. Despite being released in 2002, after Aaliyah's tragic death, the song has remained relevant and continues to receive airplay on radio stations worldwide. Furthermore, the song samples a line from the 1976 Heatwave hit "Ain't No Half Steppin'," as well as the signature bassline from Cheryl Lynn's 1978 hit "Got to Be Real."
Another interesting fact about "Don't Worry" is that it was produced by J. Dub, who is known for his work with R&B group 112, Marques Houston, and Destiny's Child. The song was included on Aaliyah's self-titled third studio album, which was released posthumously in 2001, after she passed away in a plane crash. The album includes other hits like "More Than a Woman," and "Rock the Boat."
Finally, the chords for the song are as follows:
Verse: E major7, A major7, E major7, A major7
Chorus: E major7, G# minor7, C# minor7, A major7

This is a pretty light song for Aaliyah, cause all of her other songs are deep and creative. I like it. I wish she made more simple and fun songs too.
