1. U-Turn (Lili) (the song has been integrated in the movie as a song written by a character for his sister ; the character of the sister has then been renamed in "Lili" to match the song). This song made the band very well known nationally.
2. Mister K.
On the first AaRON album, they covered the song Strange Fruit, a song which was made famous by Billie Holiday. The version they perform on the album is drawn largely from Nina Simone's rendition on her 1965 album Pastel Blues.

The Lame Souls
Aaron Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'll just have to remember what I'm not
Never let me doubt that I won't be trapped
The horses in my head, never will be tamed
The city eats you when you fall
But there you'll find poetry
That reaches only the lame souls
Before being a number, I'm a soul
Who tries to grip the freedom of the hole
I hope I'll grow wise, I'm still jeopardized
By all the smashing lights, right in my own eyes
The city eats you when you fall
But I've seen the poetry
That reaches only the lame souls
Who falls on their way to be free
You try to walk with pride but time is on your back
No matter what you try, lights will turn into dark
The storm comes real fast, we should take the risk
Before wearing masks, to explore our dreams
The city it eats you when you fall
But I've found poetry
That reaches only the lame souls
Who falls on the road to be
The first verse of the song talks about reminiscing about one's past as a youth, a time now fading into the distance. The line "I'll just have to remember what I'm not" indicates a sense of longing for what was lost in the transition to adulthood, a feeling of not being true to one's self. Despite this, the singer asserts that they will not allow themselves to feel trapped by these memories or by society's expectations. The line "The horses in my head, never will be tamed" suggests a wildness, a refusal to be subdued by the rules and expectations of the world around them.
The second verse continues this theme of exploring one's own identity in the face of societal pressure. The line "Before being a number, I'm a soul" speaks to a desire to be recognized as an individual rather than just another face in the crowd. There is a recognition of the challenges of this pursuit, as indicated by the line "I'm still jeopardized by all the smashing lights, right in my own eyes", but there is also a sense of hopefulness that wisdom will be gained through this struggle.
