on the street there’s no roll cage and 5point harnesses to keep our precious bodys intact. there’s no runoff to keep my heavily suited body from plowing into a tree when falling off my bike.

As a mother, don’t teach them with words. This isn’t smoking a joint, this is life or death.. Go let them feel how it’s like to crash on a track, even if it’s just some gas powered go carts.

My first broken wrist was from my mom telling me to go 90mph on a 50mph rated s turn on the Homestead Speedway.

Let me tell you about the crash I witnessed back in the early 2000s
A teenage driver at 17 years old with a 17 year old male passenger and 2 15 year old girls flew past me and several other people at speed on a country road.
Seconds later, he lost control of his Speeding vehicle and collided head on with a tree.
Those of us who witnessed the accident stopped and were greeted with this…….

The car was folded up and no longer distinguishable as a car.
Worst damage to a vehicle I’ve EVER seen.

Driver - decapitate and obviously deceased.
His body was mutilated beyond being recognisable as human, as he took the full impact of the tree AND the full crushing force of the metal that was now intertwined with his mangled body.

Front side passenger - Massive hole in his chest (with his heart visible), open fractures to both legs, crying for his mum…..Died from massive blood loss/shock in front of us, with an elderly lady holding his hand.
Even if paramedics had been there at that point, his injuries were 100% incompatible with life.

Girls in the back of the car…..Deceased on impact.
One of them now had been launched 30 feet out of the car onto the road.
The other one was on the drivers side in the back…..Crushed to death and if we hadn’t have seen her in the back when they flew past us, we wouldn’t have know she was in the car, as the front drivers side of the car was now partially sitting in the rear of the car.

Now how do you think those 4 families felt having police at their doors late at night, telling them their kids were deceased?
How do you think they felt when they leaned about the extent of their injuries?
Do you think that 17 year old boys mother found peace knowing her son died in agony screaming out for her?

I know for a fact those families are still
Suffering and those of us who witnessed this horrific crash needed counselling for years, due to what we witnessed.
I can still remember the smells, sounds and injuries from that day.
I even have nightmares about it and now have life long mental health issues just by merely witnessing the accident.
I have to pass right by where it happened to get to work every day and somedays, I’ll think I can smell oil, petrol and blood when I drive past there with a window open.
All those lives changed forever because one little boy decided to drive like an idiot.
4 KIDS dead because one of them had no business being behind the wheel of a car.

Now tell me it’s worth it.

I was behind 2 teens on a country road in Scotland a good few years back.
They’d gone past me at very high speed, overtaking a few others in front of me and then they hit a tree head on.
I have PTSD from what I witnessed next.
The drivers head was gone, the passenger had a gaping hole in his chest and was still alive and 2 girls in the back of the car were deceased.
The only living passenger died with a nice lady holding his hand.
He was crying for his mum and passed away quickly.
They were all under 18 years old.
The 2 girls were only 15 if I remember correctly.
I don’t let my daughter get into cars with her friends unless I know them really well and I’m 100% sure they drive responsibly.

This is terrifying. I'm glad they released the footage because it can really show younger people how nobody is invincible. I used to take constant risks in similar ways, without a care in the world. I'm so lucky I never hurt anybody or myself. Life seems to be more fragile the older I get.

Yeah I used to drive silly like this. I guess maybe that's got something to do with how much it infuriates me to see others doing it now, because I've seen what it can do and I realize how one slip, or one passerby, can cause the wreck... I was lucky nobody was in the passenger seat, and that I was OK when I wrecked right into a tree because I avoided an oncoming car... the tree would have certainly mangled any passenger.

As a mom of two young men about the same age, this video truly terrifies me. It only takes a second, and a poor decision, to destroy a life and change others forever. My best friend died doing something like this in 2010. I was away in my freshman year of college when he had just finished dropping off his girlfriend and was driving home speeding way over the limit. It was raining and he was going so fast, his car hydroplanned off the road and crashed into a tree, killing him instantly. He would’ve been 30 today had he lived.

This is a bit hard to watch. My wife and I were the first responders to a wreck that happened down the street from our home in 2020. We heard a pretty loud crash and both looked at each other and knew something was definitely wrong. I looked out the window and didn't see anything, so we went outside with a flashlight, and there were two people screaming for help. I handed my wife the flashlight and ran back inside to call 911. After getting off the phone with them, I grabbed another flashlight and got into my car, drive down the street, and used my headlights to help with visibility since it was night time. There wasn't a car in sight, so we started searching the woods for a vehicle, and I found it only because I stepped on the undercarriage as the car was flipped over. I shined my flashlight around the area, and my heart must have stopped beating for a bit, because I saw a young lady lying on the ground unresponsive. She was ejected through the front passenger window and unfortunately did not survive. She was the only unfortunate soul to lose her life (days before her birthday at that) out of the 4 occupants in the vehicle. The driver fled the scene and was finally caught about a week later. The other two individuals suffered minor injuries even though the vehicle ramped up a ditch and hit a tree about 16 up feet from the ground before landing upside down. One passenger had a concussion, and I had to stay with him until help arrived because he was pretty incoherent and the other girl was bleeding on her head and handa screaming at the top of her lungs for her best friend who she didn't know was in the woods dead on impact. It was the hardest thing I've ever deal that with and the first time seeing a dead body outside of a funeral or on TV. Even through that, what really helped me stay calm was my wife being there for the young lady (Sierra Stewart was her name) by holding her hand and talking to her even after checking for a pulse and realizing she was already gone. Typing this out is bringing out a ton of emotions that I'll never be able to get rid of. I'm just glad we were able to help.

I was driving home from school 2.5 years ago when a semi carrying 2 trailers hit a disabled vehicle and flipped and caught fire right away. I was the very first car behind it all. Me and an older man from another car immediately ran to help him but the fire was too intense. There was just nothing we could do. He had to burn alive in a crumpled metal box. Hell on Earth. You're 100% right that these are emotions we will never be able to get rid of. Best we can do is learn to deal with it I guess. Talking about it and putting it into words every now and then seems to help me. Best of luck to you

@Snorfietsers oh man, that's terrible. I'm sorry to hear about your traumatic experience as well. Seeing that fire burn must have felt like forever while waiting for help to arrive. I just pray they both passed painlessly. Talking about these things do seem to help make it a bit easier to cope with. Just reading what you wrote brought out the emotions again and made me want to cry for you, but it's good to talk about regardless of how hard it is.

Thank you for helping the victims .. You have no idea what a true comfort it is when you're in shock after the crash - to feel someone holding your hands and to hear a voice in the dark say, "Help is on it's way". It gave me so much hope and the will to hang on when a drunk driver had ploughed through the front of our house, coming to rest where I'd been standing near the back wall - I was home alone, the power had gone out, and the car was right on top of me. I have no idea whose hands they were or whose voice spoke to me - but it meant everything to me in that moment. Thank you for being there and for helping.

Lost my best friend in a car accident 5 years ago he was crushed from the waist down after losing control of a lotus elise and crashing into a car parked in a bus stop . Before he died he was comforted by a passer by who held him as he drifted in and out of consciousness im grateful for that. He left 5 children and his partner behind. I drive past the spot daily and it still really affects me. I sat with his mum and dad a short time after and cried for hours it was just so devastating . It will make no difference to other drug users and drinkers that have no respect for anyone else when they drive whilst impaired. They couldn't care less who they hurt or kill. Most people are NOT like this and don't come from a type of background that drug driving seems accepted. Don't try and share blame or make everyone think this is isolated. I certainly wouldn't want to admit if a drug using family member went out in a car whilst under the influence and killed someone. I am not sure what is "brave" about that sort of thing.

As a former volunteer firefighter this video reminds me of many terrible accident scenes I have been to and seen the end result of. People with cuts fractures and covered in their own blood and having to cut them out of what was left of their vehicles. I was diagnosed with PTSD in 2017 after 20 years in the fire service and I'd pay all the money in the world to erase those images but I can't. People slow down and be careful when driving!!😖

To be honest as an intermediate driver for 5 years of my journey of man vs. machine. Speed is an unpredictable force in a car, you never know when the next bending corner would seal the fate of you and your machine this was said by an experienced driver. This part gave me the chills when the teacher introduced the DMV students including me the unsafe part of driving on the road. The teacher showed me this video in 2018, 4 years later it popped up in my recommended. Thanks again for the youtube algorithm keeping me keen with these automobile incidents I face too everyday while driving.

I'm very sad they crashed, and they didn't deserve it, but at the same time it's almost a relief when it happened. The risk that someone else gets injured or killed from this is huge, and the fact that that didn't happen is something that I think we all need to be happy about. In my community I saw just today that another baby went through windshield because the seat was not properly secure. The story just came out today so I don't know if they were speeding or not, but the exact same thing just happened like 3 months ago. They should not be driving like that, and they should properly secure the car seat. So sad ans stupid.

Why would you want everyone to see that? To show a relative was a drug user and drove a car under the influence and killed someone... It will not change anything, most people are NOT like this, so the message, if there is one, will only apply to similar types of people that have no respect for others or the Law. Showing videos of motorbike crashes still doesn't stop teenagers from questionable backgrounds going out on them uninsured and crashing causing injuries. The speed awareness courses don't stop people that got caught speeding either. No one really alters their behaviour because of what some random person did.

This is so horrific to watch. My best friend died in a car accident when he was 20 and I was 18. He always drove too fast and thought he was invincible. My dad kept telling me - don’t get in the car with him, he won’t ever see his 21st birthday. As it happens he died speeding with a girl in the car that he’d just met. He must have been showing off and hit a curb and flipped the car. He died on the way to hospital in the helicopter. That was 26 years ago and I still miss him like it was yesterday. My whole adult life has been affected by it. My relationships, my anxiety and fear of being a passenger. I loved him dearly. Don’t speed! Don’t show off. Don’t die before you’ve lived. RIP Jonathan. Xx

My grandma died in a car accident too. She was only 70 years old and she was at a stop light before being rear ended by a black ram 1500. The impact killed her instantly.

This makes me feel so damn lucky...I remember when I was around 18, and I had this one friend that was ALWAYS taking dumb, unnecessary risks. I'm not sure if he just needed a thrill or what his problem was...but one time I was in his car with two other friends. It was at night and we were on a rural highway. The road was empty and there were no street lights. So for fun, he figured he'd turn off his headlights and floor it, just so that he could boast his memorization of the road. Never have I been more scared. I sincerely thought I was going to die...it's a miracle that we didn't.

Fast forward a couple years - the same friend was caught drinking and driving and lost his license entirely. He's still alive today but it's also a miracle that he didn't kill anyone along the way.

In high school 2003, this happened to two classmates of mine. One was a dear friend and we even talked about dating. They were doing about 80 on a bridge in the fog and crashed off of it. Hitting a tree. It still haunts me. Because they couldn’t allow visitors since the bodies were in conditions that I can’t even explain. RIP Charles & Eric.

The first funeral I went to was when I was 18. For a lad that was 18 that had been driving like this. I hope this video is a warning, but people will still die on the roads because of idiocy.

As a teenager I was in a car with a boy driving like this, I didn’t know him, he was my friend’s boyfriend’s mate who’d offered to give us a lift home. I was frozen with fear as the speedometer went past 90.
We made it home but I’ve always remembered I could’ve died that night. Another car full of teens gone in a flash. I’m 47 now and I still think of it.

My friend did this exact thing and crashed into a police car at 90 while i was telling him to slow down. We had been drinking for hours and were both very drunk.I was wearing a seatbelt and had no injuries after we flipped into a ditch.

He had no seatbelt on, and was stuck in the metal of the car and had to be cut out and med flighted but suffered no long term damage. We are friends today and volunteer to help people get sober.

It's crazy how when you're young, you just don't realize how your decisions are literally life and death. EVERYONE does stupid things and makes bad decisions in their life at some point, especially when we're younger. I've done A LOT of INSANELY STUPID RECKLESS crap when I was young, and I've learned from all of that the hard way...I've lost friends, been to jail a few times, almost died several times, but I was able to change my life to become a better person. Sadly, these young men will NOT be able to learn from their reckless choices. Imo, that's the real tragedy here.

Thank God no one else was hurt/killed in the process.

I hope this video puts some sense into other people who might consider the same thing. Doing something like this almost always ends badly. Even if you don't die, you could still destroy your car, hurt or kill someone else (and end up in jail for a very long time and/or a civil suit for wrongful death, which you'll pay $ on for the rest of your life), lose your license, get a DUI/DWI, possibly lose your job/ruin your career, drastically increase your car insurance or lose coverage, end up paralyzed or brain damaged, etc. Please, it's not worth it!

My dad was coming home extremely drunk from a bar about two miles from our home when i was 14. He went off the road into a ditch and over corrected which caused him to start flipping. I’ve watched a man burn alive before my eyes on an interstate in Louisiana when I was 18, Im 28 now. Idk what happened, he just suddenly went left and he was going fast, his car flipped over to the other side and a big concrete truck hit him, his car engulfed in flames so quickly and all I could hear is him screaming, I felt sick to my stomach. I couldn’t leave I froze up. All I can hear is his screams and fire. The screaming stopped a minute later, all there was left was silence, how the hell can an interstate go silent?? I didn’t understand, it took me 6 years of therapy to stop the nightmares, you would think you can just “heal” ya know. But when you see and witness that you just don’t “heal” I think about that man everyday bro EVERYDAY. I remember the people’s faces as well. That day messed us all up, a guy tried to take out the flames with a fire hydrant but with a fire that big and wild that just won’t do, it didn’t work

I remember back in the early 90's in my small Pennsylvania town, a guy was showing off on his motorcycle flying up and down the street doing little tricks etc. I walked into the pizza shop and he whipped past , seconds later you hear a horrendous bang and people screaming. * Side note..back then people hung outside on the sidewalks talking etc, think of how the sidewalks look when a parade's going on now. Anyway here the guy doing tricks slammed into a car pulling out from the side street. He was doing close to 90 . There were parts and pieces of him and that bike for 2 blocks. The car he hit was our local church pastor who was taking 2 children home . The children lived but the pastor died. He was taking them home because when they got home from school, their mother whom was a single mom , worked late . And she didn't drive so she would have them wait at her church and then get dropped off.. It's just so sad all around. There's never a good outcome to the madness like this.

Undercover cops were chasing a motorcycle on the expressway while I was in my Dad's truck passenger side. The motorcyclist was traveling approx 100 mph or more based on how fast she passed us... Almost passed us, that is. Just as the bike was clearing our front end she warbled a bit and the bike tire hit the truck. The impact caused her to lose control and sent her careening against median at highspeed. Even after the rider cleared the bike she spun like a top against the median for at least 100 meters and the bike itself probably tumbled at least another 200 more. She had was wearing full protective gear but still, her fingers had been ground down to stubs and it was clear her internal organs were exposed. She was alive, conscious and in shock when my father and I approached her. My Dad felt really badly even though it wasn't his fault. He said a prayer for her and stayed with her till the ambulance was on its way. By then the police had asked us to back off. We were able to check on her a couple months later and she was still in the hospital. Incidents like this lead to the city of Atlanta where I live banning high speed chases.

A few weeks ago, my son was a passenger in a car which was being driven recklessly. He asked the driver (whom he only knew vaguely) to slow down, but he didn't. The car left the road, went through a hedge and rolled several times.
My son got out with a minor cut to his finger. The driver was totally unhurt.
This video makes me realise how lucky I am that I still have a son.

Very scary and always humbling to watch. Used to drive at speeds at around 130mph but losing tire grip at 110mph on a tight wooded corner and then regaining control have prevented me ever since. If I was not in a sports car with an LSD, I would have definitely crashed and died.

She wanted to go to a party with a friend and at the time they were both 18 years old as well and her mom wouldn’t let her go to the party so he picked her up and snuck her out of the house and there was black ice and he was speeding and crashed on ice doing 80 miles an hour hit a lamp post and tree she was ejected from the car and died from a brainstem injury. Had she just have stayed home and listen to her mom she wouldn’t have been put in that situation. When kids are young and they’re just getting your drivers license they think it’s cool & wanna show off but not thinking can come with serious consequences

I used to absolutely love when your going fast and the wind hits your face and for split second it feels like your actually living, and tbh I still do, but I will never like it the same as I used to after that day.. I was sitting on my parents bed and my mum got a call, immediately after I heard her dialing my dad's phone, hands shaking and voice breaking, "[insert brother's name] has just been in an accident" was the last thing I heard before I saw my mum rushing out the door with no explanation. The next day I asked, "what was that all about?" and that's when I was told "your brother got into a really bad accident" they wouldn't tell me the injury's or the full story until after. Broken pelvis, broken wrist and a badly damaged leg and is still damaged till this day, this happened about 5 - 6 months ago and he is still recovering, still having appointments and MRIs, still taking meds, still trying to fight in the court of law, (not against the person involved in the accident tho, long story) He hasn't been the same since the accident and I think that's what hurt the most.

Speeding not only kills but it changes lives.
