Aaron Neville Lyrics

Sleeping little baby
Wrapped in a manger
On Christmas morning
Singing in the temple
Talking with the elders
Tomorrow there's wisdom
John was babtizing
And saving all the sinners
Singing at the seaside
Talking with the fishermen
He made them deciples
Saving all sinners
Keep on pushing now
Tomorrow there's wisdom
The song "Amen" by Aaron Neville is a beautiful and powerful tribute to spirituality and faith. The first verse speaks of the birth of Jesus Christ and the peaceful image of a little baby sleeping in a manger. The second verse brings us to a different moment in history, where John the Baptist is baptizing and saving sinners at the Jordan River. The repetition of "saving all the sinners" reminds listeners of the redemption that can be found through faith.
The third verse moves forward to the new testament where Jesus is singing and speaking to the fishermen, making them his disciples. The phrase "keep on pushing now" seems to be a message for listeners to keep on their journey of faith and not give up, because "tomorrow there's wisdom". This phrase holds a deeper meaning, as it suggests that through faith and perseverance, we will gain wisdom in this life.
Overall, "Amen" is a song about the power of faith to overcome obstacles and bring light to dark times. The repetition of "Amen" throughout the song reiterates the message of belief and perseverance.
