FAREWELL
Aava Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I´m free of all desires
Without anyone that can
Remember me I´m alone
Even so I´m better than you
Cause I´m waiting for someone
Who holds the true spell
Loved by false innocence
So much to forgive
There´s so much tears in vain
And the sword stays inside stone
I´ve been searching
For this moment
To show you
The song of our last farewell
In Aava's song "Farewell," the artist reflects on the pain and sadness of relationships coming to an end. The lyrics seem to suggest that Aava has been dishonest or deceitful in the past ("after a thousand lies"), but has now reached a point of emotional freedom where she no longer feels the need to deceive or manipulate others. Despite being alone, Aava suggests that she is better off than those who are still trapped in their own false personas ("I'm alone / even so I'm better than you").
The song takes a turn towards hope in the next verse, as Aava expresses her desire to find someone who can help her overcome her fears and insecurities. She acknowledges the pain and regret of past mistakes ("so much to forgive / there's so much tears in vain"), but remains determined to find a way forward.
The final verse of the song speaks to a longing for closure and resolution. Aava suggests that she has been searching for the right moment to bid farewell to someone important in her life, and is now ready to share this moment with them. It's a poignant and emotional message about the complexities of human relationships and the pain of saying goodbye.
