I was fortunate to see these guys 5 times between 2008 - 2010 and they really were on some other shit. Some of the most violent shows I've been to. They really did bridge that gap between hardcore and death metal. When I think of the definition of 'Deathcore" this band is the best example of it.

I just saw this band at their very last show in Springfield, VA. I've never been to a more insane show in my life... and now... they're done... ABACABB is no more. I will never forget you, ABACABB. If someone grew up in the Northern Virginia music scene, that someone grew up listening to ABACABB. They were natives to the Jaxx venue and one of the most brutally amazing live bands you had ever seen. In Alcatraz 1962 will carry the torch for you now, but your memory will be eternal.
