S.O.S., my lights on, lights on, hey
My doubt is the reason
I turned my eyes and now I'm sinking down
Deep under the water
I'm seeing ghost like shadows dancing around
S.O.S., my lights on, I need You now
The water's rising up and I'm going down
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, whoa
It's never gonna be over
This battle that is raging in my mind
There's always another
Torment waiting just beyond the tide
But You're here and I can see You reaching
S.O.S., my lights on, I need You now
The water's rising up and I'm going down
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Here's my signal
So You can see that I'm in need
My distress call
Is S.O.S. and now You've found me
S.O.S., my lights on, lights on
S.O.S., my lights on, lights on
(Now You've found me)
S.O.S., my lights on, I need You now
The water's rising up and I'm going down
Whoa, whoa, whoa
S.O.S., my lights on, I need You now
The water's rising up and I'm going down
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, whoa
The song "S.O.S." speaks about a person struggling with doubt and fear, feeling like they are sinking under the water with ghostly shadows dancing around them. The person is calling out for help, using the international signal for distress, S.O.S., and acknowledging that they need God's intervention. Despite the ongoing battle in their mind, the person finds hope in seeing God reaching out to them, giving them a reason to keep fighting.
The lyrics are relatable to anyone going through a difficult time, feeling like they are drowning in their own doubts and fears. The song encourages listeners to recognize their need for help and to reach out to God for support, knowing that they are not alone in their struggles.
