The song "Zay El Hawa" by Abdel Halim Hafez is a romantic ballad about the power of love. The title translates to "Like the Air", and the lyrics compare the feeling of love to the intangible and ever-present nature of air. Hafez sings about the overwhelming sensation of being in love and the way it consumes him entirely. He compares himself to a bird on a journey, flying and soaring through the world with the person he loves. The lyrics are filled with metaphors and imagery, painting a vivid picture of the strength and beauty of love.
As the song progresses, Hafez sings about the fear and uncertainty that often comes with love. He expresses anxiety about the happiness and fulfillment that he desires, worrying that it may not last. He also mentions the importance of trust in a relationship, asking his beloved to hold his hand and guide him through any difficulties they may face. The final chorus is a passionate plea for eternal love, with Hafez singing about the sweet moments he has experienced and the hope that they will continue forever.
