They made one album, but Edling had already started working on a second album with a different line-up. However, due to the commercial failure of Abstrakt Algebra, Edling reformed Candlemass while taking with him some of the ideas for that second album, as well as drummer Jejo Perkovic. There, materialised on the Dactylis Glomerata album. And as such Abstrakt Algebra was over.
Mats Levén later appeared as the singer of the band Krux, another band by Edling, which has a similar take on the experimentation Edling started with Abstakt Algebra

Abstrakt Algebra Lyrics

Bereaving and relentless
Their silence is shrouded in darkness
Impenetrable
A beacon to extinct stars
From Isis to Cernunnos
Unattainable recesses
You gave me a goat I could fuck
But where are you now?
I don’t know
Untouched and so gigantic
In sleep, but yet still frantic
Impetious silent relics
What is time?
Symbolic soul frustration
Immortall stone formation
These fragments of stagnation
Resistent
You gave me a soul I could kill
But where are you now?
I don’t know
Monument of existance
A tomb on walking distance
Old idols of persitance
Deaf an ddumb
Their will is cold and faceless
No world were told be grey shapes
The truth is always godless
Immutable blind
You gave me a reason to die
But where are you now?
I don’t know
In "Nameless," Abstrakt Algebra describes a sense of awe and confusion towards the unyielding and enigmatic nature of the past. The singer is standing before ancient stones that are nameless and seemingly bereaved, their silence shrouded in darkness. The stones are described as a beacon to extinction, referring to the fact that these forgotten relics once served a purpose but are now lost to time. The recesses of these stones are unattainable, and yet they still manage to speak to the singer in some way.
The lyrics also hint at a sense of frustration and betrayal. The singer has been given a goat to "fuck" and a soul to "kill," suggesting that they have been misled or deceived by someone who they thought they knew intimately. This person seems to have disappeared, leaving the singer feeling confused and uncertain about their own existence.

I think that was a doom metal at his best. It's right doom. Seriosly, it's not so sleasy as Paradise, not so paphos as MDB and more tough than Tiamat. Most underrated project of legendary bassist of Candlemass. I was really dissapointed, when AB not longer existed. What a vocal, what a atmosphere, what a right understanding of doom... Such industrial touches, that really brings to real doom metal vibe not recognized at any "doom legends". AB were the number one at these times. Sorry, they do not continued that charm.
