All the Dying on Earth
Abyssaria Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

We who never feared the moonlight
We who never fled from the rain

All the dying on this earth
All this pain since the birth

I see - they are creeping
They are dying

I feel their fear, the deadlight in their eyes
They are drowning in the angel's tears

Do you feel the eternal fire?
Let it burn, let it burn higher
All the dying on this earth
Let they die in your fire

The great inferno is coming
The end of mortality is near

All the dying on this earth
All this pain since the birth

I see - they are weeping
They are dying

Faces - speaking of decay
Creature - abandoned castaway

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Abyssaria's song All the Dying on Earth are a powerful and gripping depiction of the bleakness and pain of the human experience. The song opens with the defiant statement of those who have never been afraid of the night or the rain, reflecting a certain resilience and unwavering courage in the face of adversity. However, this initial display of strength is quickly overshadowed by the pervasive theme of death and suffering that permeates the rest of the lyrics.

The line "All the dying on this earth, all this pain since the birth" is particularly striking, as it captures the overwhelming sense of futility and despair that can arise from contemplating the magnitude of human suffering. The next stanza intensifies this feeling with its description of creeping death and drowning in angelic tears, creating a vivid and haunting imagery that is both beautiful and disturbing.

The chorus is a call to embrace the eternal fire and let it burn higher, allowing all the dying on earth to die in its flames. This can be seen as a symbolic representation of the desire for release from the pain and suffering of life, or perhaps as a more literal depiction of the apocalypse and the end of human existence.

Overall, the lyrics of All the Dying on Earth are a poignant and powerful meditation on the human experience, capturing both the beauty and the horror of our existence in a way that is both emotionally resonant and intellectually stimulating.

This is truly 'underrated'. I love that combination of gothic metal and atmospheric black metal and they pulled it off better than most I've heard. The guitars could have been mixed to sound a little 'warmer', but that's pretty standard when compared to classic black metal. The keyboards really stand out for me in particular.

It's too bad that this was their only full-length album and that it's so unknown. They definitely deserved more attention.
