I'm At Your Mercy
Acappella Lyrics

The judge came walking in
There was One who stood beside me
A compassionate friend
As he spoke my situation
I knew that he was in control
Of the destiny of my eternal soul
With a hush the crowd awaited
To receive the words he'd say
A finality was pressing
Like no other day
To reveal my destination
That was what I soon would know
To eternity, where was I to go?
[Chorus]
Yes, your honor, I'm at your mercy
You can do with me
Just as you please
Please remember
My testimony
The blood of Jesus
Covers me
When the time came for the verdict
The anticipation rose
But the people knew too well
The path in life they chose
Those who had not cared to answer
When in life he gave the call
Or had known his grace and love
Only to fall
But as he looked in my direction
I was not afraid
'Cause the nailed-scarred hands
Were there defending me
But then he rose to give the answer
As we bowed unto the Lord
He said "Well done my child,
Great is your reward"
[Chorus: x2]
Please remember

The song "I'm At Your Mercy" by Acappella is a powerful expression of the moment when a person stands before the ultimate judge in the courtroom of heaven. The lyrics describe the scene where the judge, surrounded by a hushed crowd, is about to deliver the verdict on the destiny of the singer's soul. The singer is not alone, though, and he draws strength from the presence of "One who stood beside me, a compassionate friend." This friend, who is none other than Jesus Christ, is in control of the singer's eternal soul and will be the one to defend him.
As the singer stands in anticipation for the verdict, he declares that he is at the mercy of the judge, who can do with him as he pleases. The singer then proclaims his testimony and places his trust in the blood of Jesus that covers him. The final verdict comes, and as the judge looks at the singer, the singer is not afraid. He knows that the nailed-scarred hands of Jesus Christ are defending him. The verdict is delivered, and the singer hears the words he has been waiting for: "Well done my child, great is your reward."
This song is a declaration of faith in the saving power of Jesus Christ and the assurance of salvation that comes from trusting in Him. It encourages believers to place their trust in Jesus and to testify to His saving grace. It is a reminder that no matter what the verdict is, we can trust that Jesus is defending us and that His blood covers us.

This song has been in my heart and mind this week. Satan accuses through even family members and twists your own words and actions into the worst possible picture of your testimony, but God will judge those covered by the blood of Jesus INNOCENT! Praise the Lord God almighty! I am at your mercy. Do with me as you please.
