Regina just learned the seriousness of death and comas and realising what her father did to protect her AND realizing someone tried to MURDER her AND the reason they did it was because of HER.
Thats a lot to take in.
No one should have that guilt.

Definitely. I like Big Top a lot more than most people, mainly because loved the idea of a place KNOWN for being a happy, cheery place (Berry Big Top) having a dark inside story. This moment capitalized on that so well. There are people like that in real life for me, people who treat things with huge consequences as random happenings, so I sympathize with Acro wholeheartedly as well.

I feel like for the most part, the anime did sad/emotional moments in general better than the games did, and it made some characters more sympathetic than they were in the games. The games have better pacing, humor, and generally did the whole mystery aspect better than the anime, but for what it was, I was pretty happy with how the anime handled things. I really hope the anime comes back and does game 3.

You know.... this anime may be inferior to the games in a lot of ways. But this is the one aspect on which the anime improves on the game. It fully fleshes out more of the emotional impact of certain scenes that just get glanced over quickly in the game, just to keep things moving along to the next case. But this anime at least does the job well, of expanding on the more heartbreaking and feelsy elements so that the viewer has a better understanding of them. They added new aspects of character development that wasn't there before.

I love how they handled Nick's breakdown in Farewell, My Turnabout. It made it so much more emotional. He was positively going crazy trying to accuse Adrian Andrews. He was becoming the crooked lawyer we all hate in order to save someone he considers part of his family (take that ask you will).

That episode wrecked me. I don't ship Phoenix with Maya, instead I see them as close friend or siblings. And how pained he was to get her back safely and the voice acting as well (I watched an english dubbed version too) almost brought me to TEARS.
Not only that but it also showed that somewhat Stoic and calm Phoenix has his weaknesses and breaking points; especially when it comes to Maya
