For this project, YASU has teamed up with SHUSE (ex-La'cryma Christi) on bass, guitarists YUKI (ex-/\ucifer), Akihide (BREAKERZ) and Chisato (PENICILLIN) and Jun-ji (ex-Siam Shade) on drums. SUGIZO (ex-LUNA SEA) and DAITA (ex-Siam Shade) have also participated in recording a few tracks for the project.

In Acid Black Cherry, much like Janne Da Arc, the songs have no strong musical boundaries. i.e. The Spell Magic single is melodic hard rock, while the Recreation Track シャイニン・オン君が哀しい is a ballad, and the Black Cherry single is a modern nod to vintage rock and roll.
