Drop
Acid King Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
My hearts like a pilot
Roads lie tough ahead
But the worst is behind
It's of a different sort
Mind and twisted hands
Always asking why
Its getting heavy now
I'm reaching critical mass
It's reaching up my spine
Blowing my mind!!! Yea!
The lyrics to Acid King's song "Drop" carry a sense of introspection and self-reflection. The singer is metaphorically traveling through time, which could represent their journey through life. They see their heart as a pilot, taking them on this journey, and they acknowledge that there have been tough times in their past. However, they see the worst as being behind them, indicating that they have grown and moved forward from those difficulties.
The second verse delves deeper into the singer's psyche. They describe their mind as being of a different sort, possibly suggesting that they perceive things differently than others. Twisted hands could represent internal struggles or even a physical manifestation of their mental state. The singer is always asking why and coming up with their own answers, which could be a sign of their independence or possibly their stubbornness.
The final verse expresses the culmination of the singer's journey. They describe the weight of their experiences, indicating that they are reaching a critical point. The weight of their experiences is almost tangible, reaching up their spine, and ultimately blowing their mind. This could represent a breakthrough or an epiphany, a release of pent-up emotions or thoughts.
Overall, "Drop" is a song that speaks to the human experience and our journeys through life, including the struggles and hardships we face, but also the growth and progress we make as we move forward.
