Acid King Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Into the ground, into the ground
4 wheels keep on turning
Into the ground, into the ground
4 wheels spin the dirt 'round
Into the ground, into the ground
4 wheels crush the big sound
Into the ground, into the ground
The lyrics to "Into the Ground" by Acid King paint a picture of a vehicle that is constantly pushing its limits until it inevitably crashes and burns. The repetition of "4 wheels keep on burning / turning / spin the dirt 'round / crush the big sound" emphasizes the destructive nature of this machine as it digs deeper and deeper into the earth. The use of words like "burning" and "crushing" give the impression that this vehicle is not just unstoppable, but also dangerous.
The repetition of the phrase "into the ground, into the ground" highlights the inevitability of this destructive path. The vehicle is headed towards a catastrophic end, but it cannot be stopped. The lyrics can be interpreted as a metaphor for the human desire to push beyond our limits and the consequences that come with doing so. This message is reinforced by the heavy, fast-paced instrumentation of the song that carries the lyrics forward with a sense of urgency and chaos.
Overall, "Into the Ground" is a powerful and thought-provoking track that highlights the dangers of recklessness and the price of pushing beyond our limits.
