Where Is She Now
Acoustic Junction Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

She's traveled he's been around
they live in separate towns
their lives have never met
souls have never touched
as fate will have it's way
they might help each other someday.

Where is she now I hear him speak
she might be walking across your street
or far away along the shore
there's no telling why, how come, or what for.

Her weakness is strength
when it's time to be strong
his weakness is her
when it's time to move on

It it you is it me is it him is it her
or is it just by nature we've come to differ
there's no telling who or where she might be

but at least for the moment they both can be
free.

Overall Meaning

The song "Where Is She Now" by Acoustic Junction tells the story of two individuals who have never met but share a certain connection. These two people have traveled and lived their lives separately, but fate may bring them together to help each other one day. The lyrics in the chorus ask the question, "Where is she now?" referring to this unknown person who may be walking across the street or far away along the shore. The song explores the idea that even though we may not know who or where this person is, we can still find freedom in the connection we share with them.

The lyrics also shed light on the different strengths and weaknesses that each person possesses. The woman's weakness is her strength, meaning that she finds strength in vulnerable moments, while the man is weak when it's time to move on. The song seems to ask the question of whether our differences are natural or if they are created by societal norms.

on Do What You Do

I was just hiking in a forest with a friend when she said that somebody started to build a house nearby. We went to explore. The first thing I noticed was a tree growing in the middle of where the floor should have been. It triggered a memory of a song I knew when I was a kid, that I probably learned when I was at a long-ago campfire with somebody playing the guitar. It took me a while, but gradually the words to Uncle Jed's shed came to me. I sang it for my friend, and we both totally enjoyed the moment. So, thank you, for this delightful, quirky song
