1) A female-fronted melodic death metal band from La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, originally formed in 2016 under the name UnFear.
2) Acroma (formerly known as No Release) is an alternative rock band formed in Salt Lake City, Utah. The band consists of Jeremy Stanley (vocalist), Brian Christensen (guitarist), Tom Collins (bassist), and Joshua Zirbel (drummer). No Release began developing a small following in Salt Lake City after releasing a three-song demo. In 2002, one of the band's tracks was heard by label Universal Records on a compilation album. Soon after, Univeral signed the fledgling band to a record deal. The newly named Acroma enlisted Tool producer Sylvia Massy to produce their first album. The album was influenced strongly by Massy's Tool, as well as Maynard James Keenan's side project, A Perfect Circle. They released the album Orbitals in May 2003. The album was recorded at RadioStar Studios, in Weed, California. "Sun Rises Down" and "Don't Think, Just Move" received moderate radio play on college radio stations around the country, but the band was never able to crossover to mainstream radio. The band has been on hiatus since the release of Orbitals and it remains unknown when Acroma will release another album.

Take The Pain
Acroma Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Like a dead man rising
It seems like too much energy for a bag of bones
And for the lucky souls
Waters wash away the cobwebs
And for the lesser bones
Lonely hearts and soup lines in the rain
Take the pain
And suddenly everything is only everything
Don't mean a thing at all because finally I can breathe
And like an ocean swell it changes everything
I'm in your heart now and finally I can breathe
Waking up most days I feel more
Like a cold cadaver
That's on the cutting board
And those in line await with plates
And for the lucky souls
The warm ground takes away the coldness
And for the lesser bones
Lonely hearts and time to think remain
Take the pain
And suddenly everything is only everything
Don't mean a thing at all because finally I can breathe
And like a ocean swell it changes everything
I'm in your heart now and finally I can breathe
Take the pain
Who'll take it?
Who will take the pain when it all goes wrong?
Take the pain
Who'll take it?
Who will take the pain when it all goes wrong?
Waking up most days I feel more like a dead man rising
It seems like too much energy for a bag of bones
For a bag of bones
The lyrics to Acroma’s song “Take the Pain” convey the feelings of weariness, hopelessness, and despair that come with mundane life struggles. The first stanza speaks of the singer’s exhaustion upon waking up each day, feeling like a “dead man rising” or a “bag of bones.” While lucky souls can wash away the cobwebs of everyday life or are able to find solace in the warmth of the earth when they die, the “lesser bones” are left to face the harsh realities of loneliness and poverty. The repeated phrase “take the pain” is a call-to-action, a challenge to ourselves or others to endure and push through the struggles that come with life.
The song’s chorus, “And suddenly everything is only everything,” represents a moment of clarity in which the singer realizes that everything that once mattered to them, from worldly possessions to their own fears and anxieties, loses its meaning in the face of life’s overwhelming challenges. The ocean swell represents change and the possibility of something better. The lyrics hint at the possibility of finding comfort or peace in someone else’s heart, where finally, the singer can breathe.
The final chorus brings the song full-circle, asking the question, “Who will take the pain when it all goes wrong?” suggesting that we need each other to get through the tough times, and asking for help is a sign of strength. Overall, the lyrics to “Take the Pain” paint a poignant picture of the struggle of everyday life, but ultimately leaves a glimmer of hope for something better in the future.
