Dead Jesus
Act of God Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Infernal fire follows you
Soon the knowledge of
true will come
The damned day will break
your hope
Cry dead jesus!
Your father has betrayed you
For me, your death-cry is pleasant
Die the belch of heavens
The crucifix will burn down in the depths of inferno
Your cut head will be brough
to the Satan
It will be impaled
He will admire your dead eyes
The dead Christian prophet
Symbol of pity and disgrace
You will be crucified

thousand times more
Worthless victim of Apocalypses

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Act of God's song Dead Jesus depict a message of paganistic and satanic valorization through the character of Jesus Christ, painting him as a weak and pitiable figure who has been betrayed by his own father. The verses speak of an infernal fire that follows Jesus and a day of damnation that will break his hope. The chorus screams out "Cry dead Jesus!" with relish, and the character of Satan features prominently in the song. The final lines describe Jesus as a "worthless victim of Apocalypses", and the crucifix as being burned down in the depths of inferno.

The song is largely a product of the black metal genre of music, which has been known to use controversial and provocative imagery to express a rebellion against organized religion and modernity. The themes and lyrics of bands like Act of God are not meant to be taken completely at face value, but rather to signify an anti-establishment stance and an embrace of the darker side of human nature. While some may find the depiction of Jesus and Christianity here to be offensive, it is important to recognize that this is a product of artistic expression and not necessarily a direct attack on religious beliefs.

Jesus is a prophet not god
Surah Al-Ikhlas
In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. Say, “He is God, the One.
2. God, the Absolute.
3. He begets not, nor was He begotten.
4. And there is nothing comparable to Him.”

This is a clear statement by God describing Himself to humanity without any room for confusion. God is One and is exalted above everything He creates.
This chapter of the Quran is about the oneness of God. The concept of God has been presented here in its purest form, ridding it of all polluting associations which people of every age have brought to it. There is no plurality of gods. There is only one God. All are dependent upon Him, but He is not dependent on anybody. He Himself has power over everything. He is far above being the progeny of anybody or having any offspring. He is such a unique being that there is nobody like Him or equal to Him in any manner whatsoever.

Jesus (peace be upon him) wasn't crucified, God saved him and raised him. God said in Quran about Jesus (peace be upon him ):

"And [mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed God has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds. O Mary, be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow with those who bow [in prayer]."(Quran 3:42-43)

" [And mention] when the angels said, “O Mary, indeed God gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary – distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to God ].

He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and will be of the righteous. She said, "My Lord, how will I have a child when no man has touched me?" [The angel] said, "Such is Allah ; He creates what He wills.

When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is. He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel, And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah .

"and their saying, “We have surely killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah”…In fact, they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them as if they had. And indeed, those who differed over him are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it—just following assumptions. And certainly, they did not kill him. Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise." (Quran 4:158)

God doesn’t die, because He himself is life . how can God die? Why God need to punish his own self for give other sins ? God didn't forgive another sins without punish herself?? Therefore it was necessary for Him to forsake Jesus on the cross. And that is also the reason why Jesus cried out these words: “God, why have you forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34).

And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Mark 15:33-34)
Christian religion books prove God is one: 1/And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord. (Mark 12:29)

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. (1 Corinthians 8:5-6)
Jesus is not God, because God is not a human:
For I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee. (Hosea 11:9)

God is not a man … neither the son of man. (Numbers 23:19)

For he [God] is not a man. (1 Samuel 15:29). Jesus ate slept his body has blood, flesh, bone he grew up a normal human .it clear that Jesus is a man and a prophet .

Hear, O Israel: The Lord in the will of the Father which hath sent me. (John 5:30)
Jesus eat , sleep his body has blood, flesh bone like a normal human. Why don't understand that Jesus is a man and a prophet like Abraham, moses and last and final messenger Muhammad ( saw, peace be upon him ) . Bible and Christian religion books say about Muhammad ( saw peace be upon him ). I want to say my Christian brother and sister we Muslim also love jesus (peace be upon him)he is a honourable prophet of God but he is not God. God has no son and daughter. He is one. At the day if judgement jesus are against you because Jesus is not God he is prophet of God. Please come back to the right path.use your common sense. Life is one please don't waste life is a wrong path

God loves us so much! That's why he sent his only begotten son (Jesus Christ) to pay for our sins and to save us!

1 Peter 1:8-9
New International Version
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Even if you don't see but believe. That's called Faith

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. ... But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:1-8).

Romans 5:8
King James Version
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

By his Sacrifice and resurrection we are saved!

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have EVERLASTING LIFE.

Romans 8:11
¹¹The Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead. If the same Holy Spirit lives in you, he will give life into your bodies in the same way.

Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! Follow/Do the will of God

Yes! “For my fathers will is that everyone who looks at the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and i will raised him up at the last day.” John 6:40 [Jesus Speaking.]
But what about “works” many wil ask!
Then the [the disciples] ask him [Jesus], “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus Answered, “The work is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
So, what is God's will when it comes to salvation? That we would believe in the one he has sent. Jesus.

Matthew 7:21–23
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord.’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only who does the will of my father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, ‘Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then i will tell them plainly, I never knew you, Away from me you evildoers!.
Many will list the works they did. They prophesied, drove out demons and perform many miracles in the “name” of Jesus. Please note it does not say that they said, “Lord, we repented of our sins and believe in your work on the cross to redeemed us! We trusted you to saved us Jesus!.” But instead they listed they're “works” or rituals or keeping the law can not save a single one of us because, “No one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law: rather, through the law we become conscious of sins”. Romans 3:20
And in Galatians 2:21 “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”.

If we sinned, repent(change and turn away from sin) ask God for forgiveness and he will forgive us

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins he is faithful, and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

God forgives, but there's consequences

And also
Nothing can separate us from the love of God!

Romans 8:38–39
Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Repent, believe and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, be sealed with God's Holy Spirit and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father we thank you for all the blessings you have given to us and more blessings to come. Thank you for sending you Son Jesus Christ to save us from hell punishment. Thank you Lord Jesus for paying our sin punishment on the cross and sheded your Holy Precious Blood 7 times for our salvation and forgiveness of sins. Lord, guide and protect us and our loved ones, we trust you and accept you as Our Lord and Savior, we will serve you, obey you, and follow you and your will. Thank you for all the good things you've done for us. You are worthy of our praises and worship. We ask all of this in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

To all who reads, may the grace of God be with all who reads this passage, may every step you take, be one step closer to Christ and His Kingdom, and if you fall may repentance be sure to follow, may the Holy Spirit guide us all, convict us all, and mold us into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ 🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻

A man who gave nothing, but love. Yet only received hate.😔

@SockenbartderI

I don't know man, Willem Dafoe has a pretty huge fan base. They're maybe some contradicting opinions about him as the green goblin but I think people still love him.

@jsjshdjd1847

He didn't only receive hate tho he had ppl that loved him

@migzy4704

@Jsjshd Jd No of course, but a majority of people. HIS own people hated him. It's poetic in a way. The people he came to save and help were the same ones that killed him.
