@@EggMortis It is not about understanding, it is about how it works. Using public art to train is not stealing, else artists would be charged to learn. Also, the product made by AI doesn't fall under any copyright infringement, specially if it's not used for money like most.

Human error is something AI can never replicate. Granted, there is AI error, but that's just when the, "Busty, milf doing a bikini carwash," prompt spawns an Eldritch horror of twisted, mangled, mass of flesh and tentacles. Human error makes it more real, and it just looks more impressive on the artist when an onlooker thinks their portrait of David Bowie is flawless, when in reality, all the artists sees are the flaws!

Most modern AI nowadays can lol. That's late news, AI develops insanely fast. 2yrs ago it didn't exist, 1yr ago it was a horrible mess, couple months ago it couldn't make hands and animate. Now it can do almost everything but words, and animations are incredibly well too. One more year and it will be perfect or semi-perfect.

One of the fields of study in art college involves learning how to bring fictional cartoon characters to "life." When I meant life, I mean understanding how the character would move, react, respond, and interact with their environment like a real living character. This is a skill that irl person would understand because they have been studying it, something that AI don't have because it's just a tools that copying and mimicking other media. Just like irl nature's mimicry, we can actually realised that there's something off about the mimicry orgasm.

I actually saw a straight up AI commercial a few weeks ago. Not from this company, but it was for some lawfirm (It was an asbestos exposure ad). Literally the entire thing was Ai. Even the TV that they were displaying the information on was AI.

I really wish I was able to record it. It was atrocious and I can only assume they pulled it off the air lmao.

There needs to be regulations against this kind of thing. Artists jobs are already being threatened by AI. Some might think that its just the same as people who operated elevators and that their jobs were taken by machines. But media is an art form and no matter how you go about it using thousands of stolen art works to build a neural network to create new "artworks" for cheaper is theft. People need to stop supporting AI media content, like AI generated images, writing, music or vocals. I get a sour taste in my mouth whenever I find a cover of a song only to discover it was made with an AI. Its discraceful. Do it yourself or pay someone else to do it.

Edit: AI does have its uses, I believe that it's uses shouldn't include creation of creative media. It can play the guitar it can't write the song. There are many uses for AI as creative tools for artists. An example is synth V which is an AI powered vocal synthesiser that producers can use for their music.
