Everything Has Changed
Adam Merrin Lyrics

And you turn me down
You pick me up
When I'm on the ground
You tune me in
And you tune me out
What was then
Is not now
Lonely days and winter skies
Melts away into summertime
And it's alright
Yeah it's ok
When everyone and everything has changed
You give it up
You run around
When you try to stop
You just fall down
You put it in
And you pull it out
What you did last night
You lost somehow
You kill the lights
You see them run
They try to hide
And see no one
You got too close
You saw the lie
It could not wait
You had no where to go
The lyrics of Adam Merrin's "Everything Has Changed" are a reflection on the change that happens in life and relationships. The song begins with the acknowledgment of how a person can have an impact, turning the singer on and off figuratively. The changes in the relationship, the highs and lows, are a constant theme throughout, with the lyrics describing how the person can pick him up when he's down and turn him on, but also turn him off.
The chorus is a reflection of how time changes everything, how people and their relationships change with it. The lyrics describe how from lonely days and winter skies, summertime will come, and it's okay because everything and everyone has changed. The theme of this song is time, and how with it everything and everyone changes. Even though the changes can be hard, and the person he was with is not the same person they were before, it's okay, and he must accept that everything has changed.
In summary, "Everything Has Changed" is a perfect reflection of how change can be inevitable in life, including our relationships. The song's message is that we must be aware of the changes and learn to accept them because it is a natural part of life.
