Summer's Almost Gone
Adam Merrin Lyrics

It's just another day
Whenever we get to talking
You turn the other way
Why do I feel this way
Like it's the end
I'm sick of wasting time
One day you'll find out
Summer's almost gone again
You wake up and turn around
You tear it up and put it down
You told me what they said
And I know what they see
It's alright
It's over
It's getting old to me
Why do I feel this way
Like it's the end
I'm sick of wasting time
One day you'll find out
Summer's almost gone again
You wake up and turn around
You tear it up and put it down
When something's wrong you know who did it
You look inside to see
One day you'll find out
Summer's almost gone again
You wake up and turn around
You tear it up and put it down
The lyrics for Adam Merrin's song "Summer's Almost Gone" speak about frustration with a relationship that seems to be going nowhere. The singer is clearly unhappy with the way that their interactions with the other person are going. They complain that whenever they try to talk to this person, they just turn away. They feel like the relationship is dying, and like it's a waste of time. The chorus is particularly telling, as it warns that the summer (a metaphor for youth and energy) is almost gone again. This is a reminder that the singer is running out of time to find what they're looking for in this relationship.
As the song progresses, the singer becomes increasingly frustrated with the situation. They mention that they know what other people are saying, and they're tired of it. The chorus continues to warn that time is running out, and that the situation is getting old. The final lines of the song suggest that the singer knows who is to blame for the situation, but they're not sure how to fix it.
Overall, "Summer's Almost Gone" is a melancholy song that speaks about the frustration of a relationship that isn't going how it should. The title is a reminder that time is running out, and that the singer needs to make a decision about what to do next.
